You won't be disappointed with this hotel, but you won't be blown away either. The location is relatively close to the Akasaka-Mitsuke subway station so that is nice, and the rooms appear to have been pretty recently redone in a tasteful …

My husband and I stayed here September 12th-16th for our honeymoon. It was the first of four different hotel stays during our trip to Japan. We were hesitant to book based on some of the poor reviews, but decided to give it a try anyway and we are glad that we did. As I mentioned, this was our first stay and we came straight from the airport. It was such a treat exiting Akasaka-Mitsuke station to the lights and liveliness on the streets near Best Western. This hotel, while seemingly out of the way from major cities like Shinjuku or Shibuya, has a quaint nightlife of its own. There are a plethora of great restaurants and bars near by, and if you're a Harry Potter fan there is a lot to see! When it came to the room - yes, it was tiny. There is hardly a place to open your suitcase. My husband and I could not both be walking around at the same time as there wasn't any room for that. There is only one elevator and the wait can be anywhere between 1-3 minutes. There are two laundry machines that seem to always be in use unless it's after 1:00am. The hallways are a bit dark. But the room was cozy and clean. The staff were incredibly kind. The breakfast was really tasty also. Being so close to the station allows for easy transportation between sites and major cities. For this hotel, you get a lot of bang for your buck. We would stay here again.

I wish I had taken the reviews more seriously so that I didn't have to experience it for myself; tiny house living, sticky carpets, hot & stuffy AC and sounds of lift next door. While the area is a great choice this place is a 1-2* budget business travel motel at best. Checked out early and no refund. Please do yourself a favour and take note of the reviews before you spend your hard earned and valuable vacation time here.

Early in the morning (just after 4 a.m.), I received a call from the nursing home where my mother lived, saying that her breathing had suddenly become weaker.I called the front desk to check out immediately, but no one answered. When I went directly to the second floor, there were people there. My husband and I purchased two breakfast tickets for 1,650 yen based on a smiley recommendation at check-in for a plan without breakfast, so I applied to cancel but was refused. I was sad because it was early in the morning and I got a disgusted look on my face. When I got home, I couldn't make it in time...I was even sadder.[Later story]A week later, after seeing this review, the person at the front desk who greeted me with a smile called me apologizing and contacting me about a refund for the breakfast price. I was tired and relieved after the funeral when I received a phone call and was very happy. I was properly refunded 3,300 yen.The superior twin room had a USB outlet and was easy to use and clean. I think it's a good hotel as they kindly give me directions to Suntory Hall and call me a taxi.It would be nice if they could take care of me at night.
