Had an awesome stay here! The service overall was fantastic, and the staff were super patient and attentive with all our questions as foreigners. I especially want to give a big shout-out to Mr. Wang. We needed to make an appointment at a Japanese eyewear store, which required a reservation. Mr. Wang went above and beyond—he enthusiastically helped us book it, left all the necessary info, and even waited for us at the entrance the next day to let us know everything was set. His friendliness really made our trip smoother. Highly recommend this hotel for its excellent service and amazing staff!

What a beautiful hotel! Be sure to take a walk through the gardens; you can enjoy a splendid view of Mt. Fuji in the morning—it's like a snow-capped postcard picture! The service was excellent, making our stay even more enjoyable. …

This is a truly wonderful place to stay. Rooms are very comfortable and the staff very attentive and friendly. Outside the gardens are superb and only wish we had been able to see them when in flowers. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely one-night stay here during a quiet season (March). Our room was dated but spacious and comfortable! The onsen on the property were very nice and relaxing. We opted for French dinner and everything was delicious, though we did not realize it was a set menu. They were very gracious in handling my dietary restrictions on short notice. The lounge did close quite early. There is a convenient shuttle to/from the bus stop.Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel reminded us of a bygone era with its quiet comforts and refinement.

In the beginning I was not impressed with the room as it’s pretty standard. As the day went on, I was more and more impressed with the facility and the services this place has to offer. The onsen is really nicely maintained and has all the amenities, the outdoor one is heavenly. The dinner was what I was mostly impressed by. We ordered a la carte and everything we ordered was not only very well presented, but absolutely delicious. It was raining and foggy the day we were here, it did not put any damp on our trip but instead added some unusual mysterious charm to our experience.

The location of this hotel is great with a lovely view over lake Ashi, the rooms are a good size and the staff were mainly helpful. However, the restaurant was a strange experience, I think they're just not use to dealing with westerners and it all closed very early. They offer a set meal which seems to concentrate on how the food looks rather than how it tastes. They offer a set breakfast and it's 'not possible' to change anything, we asked if we could change the vegetable soup (yes for breakfast) with something else and the man seemed to not be able to comprehend that we wanted to change (how dare we ask) and of course it wasn't possible. It all seemed a bit pretentious.

What a beautiful hotel! Be sure to take a walk through the gardens; you can enjoy a splendid view of Mt. Fuji in the morning—it's like a snow-capped postcard picture! The service was excellent, making our stay even more enjoyable. We had rented a car which made it easier to access the scenic routes and waterfalls. Plenty of parking onsite. There is an Indian restaurant about 10min by car for those with a restricted diet. The only downside was that I booked the Japanese breakfast, and they charged me extra for coffee and some yoghurt. My fault, I should have checked prior to booking the breakfast. So watch out for that. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its stunning views and great service!

A luxury hotel. Most of the luxury amenities were there. An onsen spa was attached to the hotel. The hotel was rather remote. Driving in the night was rather a hazard. ||Checking in was no issue. Food was not an issue. There is always takeaways bento boxes. This is Japan. ||

The rooms were very small. We booked the biggest room, but got stuck with a smaller room. We felt we were getting SCAMMED....The service at the French restaurant was not very good, they came with the bread after the appetizers or with the main course instead of first. The location was nice, looking at the lake, but there was nothing to in the hotel.
