I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. The rooms are gorgeous, so is the view. The windows are double-glass, so temperature is kept nicely. The food was amazing and plenty. Lots of local veggies and the mother of the innkeeper makes the soba by hand. 🥹 Everyone is very friendly and speaks really good English, if needed. Can I please just stay here forever? 😳

We were lucky enough to enjoy a two night stay here on Walk Japan's Summer Nakasendo Way. This was the very best of all the ryokan style places that we visited.  …

What an amazing stay we had here in this sleepy hollow of Kaida-Kogen! This is a beautiful Inn that feels very new but retains the charm and design of a traditional Ryokan. The hospitality is fantastic; the owner's great great grandmother owned a famous Kaida horse ranch so the family has been in this area for generations. The food is absolutely delicious! Highlights include horse sashimi, trout eggs, beef cooked in white miso. The onsen is lovely as well. This was my 9th Ryokan in a row as we were making our way along the Nakasendo trail and I felt that this Inn was the best :) highly recommended!!
