We had an absolutely fabulous stay here! The host couple was incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Both the dinner and breakfast they prepared were exceptional—among the best meals we’ve had during our entire trip in Japan. The traditional tatami bedroom was simple but cozy, with very comfortable futons. The atmosphere was warm and quiet, offering the perfect setting for a peaceful night's rest.We especially loved walking around Shirakawago in the evening, once the crowds of tourists had left, allowing us to truly appreciate the peaceful beauty of this historic village. Another highlight was visiting the nearby onsen, just a 10-minute walk away. Returning to the accommodation in the evening, dressed in our Yukata and wearing geta, added to the authentic Japanese experience.Highly recommended for anyone looking for a truly memorable stay in Shirakawago!

This place has a long history among Shirakawago's lodgings. The owners are kind people who take care of everything they can.It is also a good location for those who come to tour the stage of When I'm Crying.Hachiman Shrine (Furude Shrine) is right behind it, so you can have it all to yourself when you wake up in the morning.Even though it is an old house, I am particularly impressed by the cleanliness of the bathroom.

The boss and the landlady are very kind. The breakfast and dinner are so rich and delicious that I almost finished the whole pot of rice. The house is warmer than expected. The room is spacious and has two heaters. Especially the bathroom has enough water and is very warm. I don't have to worry about getting cold in the shower.

Characteristic place in a period structure. An experience that I recommend you do at least once. The positive thing is getting up in the morning and having the whole town enveloped in peace so you can enjoy the beauty of the place

Staying at Furusato was one of my best experiences in Japan. Kimura San is the host and he made our stay very comfortable. Language barriers did not come on the way to he and his wife’s hospitality. We had informed them earlier that we are vegetarian and such a delicious meal was organised. Arigato Gozai Masu Kimaru San
