Place was nice, room was spacious, had a balcony. The host was super helpful, a train was cancelled due to a tree on the tracks and he went down to the station to clarify all the details for us. Had a decent kitchen, comfy beds.

Conveniently located near the train station. This is the only hostel in Gero. Very cheap compared to hotel or ryokan. It's clean. You can cook at the kitchen and eat at the living room. The hostel has quiet hours, so you can sleep comfortably at night. If you're an onsen fan, I recommend staying here than at Takayama. You can easily make a day trip to Takayama from Gero.

The location is very convenient and the staff was very nice. However the bunk beds made me worry about my safety. They shake easily from the slightest movement and this makes it difficult for anyone bunking together. It was very difficult to sleep because any movement will wake the other person.

It's fine. Honestly fine. You can sleep there and relax a bit, but that's really it. No luxury, but you shouldn't expect that. The place was clean but the walls thin.A kind owner that will try to help with any questions.

0/5 Not recommendedI got to stay at the 1st floor room. It was just next to the entrance.Once I enter the room, it was so smelly, full of dust and fungus.Every where was so full of fungus!!!Even the bed and all bedding smell so bad like fungus. Bed was not uncomfortable at all. I couldn't sleep for whole night. The hostel has only 1 bathroom for entire house and have to climb up to the 3rd floor for the bathroom. The toilet in the 1st floor also not clean and doesn't have the bidet event though it set with the warm toilet seat. It was non-sense.
