I have used more than half of KKR's accommodations nationwide, but this is my favorite so far, and I visit at least once a year. The inside of the building has been renovated regularly, so it doesn't feel outdated, and the stairs are always decorated with beautifully arranged flowers. In addition, the dining area has a large glass wall so you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed atmosphere while looking out at the Japanese garden. This time I stayed with the Extreme Kaiseki plan. All the dishes were delicious, and it was also nice to grill the vegetables yourself. There are many kinds of breakfast buffets and they are all delicious, so the problem is that I always end up eating too much. For meat lovers, we recommend the Hida beef course. You can enjoy the meat.Although the baths are not open-air, you can always enjoy the hot springs slowly without crowding, and I was very satisfied this time as well.

The food was great. The bath is on the top floor and overlooks Gero Onsen Village. There is only an indoor bath, but I was able to relax. I wanted to go there again when I wanted to relax.

Lodging facilities of the National Public Employees Mutual Aid Association, public lodgings. You can see the hot spring town from the observation hot spring bath on the top floor (5th floor). Best of all, it's not closed late at night (cleaning starts at 9am). Of course, Gero Onsen is a bulk hot water supply, so all facilities are basically the same simple alkaline hot springs with a source temperature of 55 degrees. Displayed as PH9.13 (there is also a document for 8.9). No sauna or open air. View of the hot spring town facing west.Dinner is a course selection. Hida beef is always available, and in the summer there is sweetfish (seasonal menu every two months). Breakfast starts at 7:00 and includes Hoba miso and other buffets. The view from the restaurant is the front garden with a koi pond. The entrance/lobby is on the 2nd floor, and the guest rooms are on the 3rd and 4th floors. Wi-Fi/BS compatible. Rooms with a "good view" face west and overlook the hot spring town, while others face south and north.A variety of room types, from singles to groups. There are also chairs in the Japanese-style room. You can also walk up the hill to Gassho Village within 5 minutes. Descending the hill is Atano Valley's Ujo Park, which is also used as a filming location and is a 2-minute walk away. Convenience store is Lawson, 5 minutes walk down the hill.

About 10 minutes from Gero Station, Nohi Bus Shirasagi Bridge. It's not flashy, but it's quiet and relaxing.Dinner is served in two shifts, with fixed times and seats, but you're separated from the person next to you so no one is too noisy. Meals are served freshly. There is no shortage or surplus, but additional orders can be made. There is a facility called Gassho Village, which is a 5-minute walk up the mountain, and is recommended if you don't have the stamina to explore Shirakawa-go.The clientele is mostly former national civil servants.

Since it's a KKR hotel, the general public can stay there, but if you're a KKR union member, you can stay for 2,000 yen cheaper. It's a little far from the station, but within walking distance. The facility is not new or luxurious, but the rooms and large public bath did not disappoint, and the food was better than expected (tempura platter was an extra 500 yen, and Hida beef shabu-shabu was 1000 yen). It was about 10,000 yen, but it was worth the price considering the quality of the meat), and the staff were very nice.I would like to stay again.
