I used it for the night before climbing Mt. Yakedake in winter. The snowy scenery seen from the open-air bath, combined with the quality of the hot springs, is simply the best.

I stayed there before going to Kamikochi. The food was delicious and the hot springs had a sulfur-like smell (maybe...lol)The staff was very helpful and I would like to go again. The starry sky seemed to be farther away than I expected. It looks like that in the iPhone's night mode, but I couldn't see it that clearly with the naked eye.

★ReservationReservations can be made at Jalan★RoomI booked a smaller room for climbers. The building called "Yaki" is probably for climbers and is a little far from the lobby. However, it was nice to be able to move early in the morning without having to worry about staying away from the regular guests. The room isThere is an outletTea availableThere is a kettleNo refrigeratorNo air conditionerTowel sizes availableYukata availableToilet and washroom are sharedThe room locks automaticallyAs I said, it is perfect for people who are used to mountain climbing. The bedding was of course clean, so I had zero complaints.★BathI put in time almost any time.It is a gender-swapping system. There was one indoor bath and one outdoor bath.Regarding amenities, shampoo, conditioner,There was body soap and face wash. There are no lotions, etc. There was a hair dryer so I was relieved. The hot water was a sulfur bath with giant yunohana floating in it, and the water had a very hot spring feel and was very pleasant.★MealsThe next day, I only had dinner because I was climbing a mountain. The portions were neither too large nor too small, making them easy to eat, and all of them were delicious. There was a lot of alcohol on the menu and it was very good.★For climbersGuests can pay after dinner, so early check-out is possible. The entrance can be accessed at any time. When you check in, you will be asked if you are going to climb a mountain, and you will also be asked to explain it on a map and if you will be using a bus. The explanation was very thorough and helpful. Also, since you can park your car until the evening after checking out, you can stop by the hot springs after descending Mt. Yakedake. (Guests can enter the hot spring for 500 yen)You can also use the bath towel you used during your stay, so you can leave it in your car while climbing and use it when you take a hot spring bath after descending. *Towels will be returned when you return home. You can also reserve lunch boxes at check-in.In any case, it is very friendly to climbers, so we highly recommend using it when climbing Mt. Yakedake. (The best part is that you don't have to race for the parking lot at the trailhead.)However, it is a little expensive to use for mountain climbing, so it is recommended for occasional luxury mountain climbing!

I visited on a solo trip. There was a starry sky study session around 7:45pm, and it was a lot of fun! ! 🌟The lady who picked me up and picked me up was kind, the bath was piping hot, and the food was delicious! Suzumushi was kept in the space after taking a bath, and I was able to feel the seasons. The water and soba tea at the front desk were also delicious...I felt everyone's kindness🫠When I come to Kamikochi again, I will definitely stay at this inn!

I stayed in a Hotaka 6 tatami room with a toilet and sink for a walk around Kamikochi. There was a shuttle to Nakanoyu bus stop during the day, and a shuttle from Taishoike to Kamikochi bus terminal in the morning, which was very helpful.Unfortunately, the room wasn't very spacious and was a bit dusty, but considering its age and location, I guess that can't be helped.Perhaps because there was no air conditioning, when I entered the room after checking in, there was a screen door and there were a lot of insects. If you ask the front desk, they will give you insecticide, but I was able to get them outside by turning off the lights in the room and turning on the lights in the bathroom and entrance. If you are not good with insects, you may need to be careful. It was really great to soak in the hot springs after walking around Kamikochi! In front of the lobby and bathroom, there were bell bugs being taken care of in insect cages, and the sounds of nature soothed me.In addition to water, barley tea, and soba tea, they also provide individually wrapped dried plums, which you often find at inns, to soothe your tired body. The amount of food is perfect for both dinner and breakfast! The front desk phone is not connected at night (I think it was after 8pm?), so if you have something to do, you have to go down to the first floor.I've stayed at a lot of hotels and never had to worry about noises coming from other rooms, but when I was in trouble because a group of men and women in rooms next to each other were making a fuss like crazy, they took good care of me, so I was very impressed. I was grateful.

First of all, the dinner and breakfast were luxurious and delicious, and I was very satisfied. The staff were very kind and helpful! The view from the inn is beautiful, and you can enjoy watching the clouds change depending on the time of day. I also appreciated the tea and water service. The room was also spacious enough to relax. If I ever visit Kamikochi again, I will use this place again!
