This resort nestled in the heart of Hakone was a beautiful retreat from our city travels. The tranquility and quiet was so restorative. Use a public or private onsen fed from local hot springs to soothe your body and mind and enjoy multiple amenities throughout the facility. Hot and cold beverages are available any time and they have multiple "snack" hours offering dumplings and ramen. The dinner menu was an absolutely fantastic feast for adventurous eaters and foodies and the breakfast was the same. Some of the best miso mushroom soup I have ever had. We loved our room and the view and thoroughly enjoyed our private bathtub on the balcony.

Personally, I think the services are fulfilling.·mealYou can choose the meal time (5pm or 8pm) at check-in. You can choose according to your schedule.Breakfast is full of volume!Miso soup can be prepared in a pot for each table. The inn's special pudding was served at breakfast. There were three types of syrup to choose from and I chose maple.·serviceIf dinner is at 8pm, if you get hungry in the evening, you can eat dango and meat buns in the lounge from around 6pm. Thank you for this🙏There is a drink bar in the lounge, and you can drink there 24 hours a day (probably). If you get hungry at night, you can try Yonaki Soba (Chinese noodles). It was hearty and contained pork and menma. There are coffee beans and a grinder in your room, so you can enjoy freshly ground coffee! There were also tea bags for tea and black tea.·hot springThere are two types of hot spring sources: Kowakudani and Miyanoshita. (Sorry if I'm wrong)Personally, I preferred the baths in Kowakudani because they were larger and had an open-air bath.Private open-air baths (no showers, just bathtubs) are available on a first-come, first-served basis. If it's empty, anyone can come in, and it's OK to wait until it's empty. The room also has a cypress bath and shower. After bathing, there is a limited time, lactic acid bacteria drink in the morning, milk or coffee milk, and ice cream in the evening.·standThe souvenirs at the shop are on sale for 2 hours starting from 6pm, and the souvenirs are cheaper.・TransferThere is a shuttle bus from Kowakudani Station to the inn from 14:00 to 17:00. If you plan to go to the inn before 2pm, please let us know by phone in advance so we can accommodate you as needed. In the morning, we will also take you to Kowakudani Station, making it easy to take the mountain railway and sightsee.·othersYou can also purchase tickets for sightseeing spots at your inn. This time, I bought a ticket to the Pola Museum of Art at a ryokan and it was 200 yen cheaper than usual, so I was grateful.

My first experience at a ryokan, I didn’t regret taking this one. Spacious room with all amenities, snack bar with snacks, good barbecue dinner with unlimited bar for an hour for 1100 yen. Nice private onsens, you can’t book, just rent on the spot, fortunately there were no queues. The staff is pleasant and polite, although their knowledge of English is sometimes lacking.

I used the Mizuka side once a long time ago on a weekday.Other than the location, it is almost the same as Setsugekka.I think it was partly because of the location, but I was happy to receive bottled drinks after taking a bath. The private bath is better than Setsugekka. The hot spring water quality may be better at Setsugekka.

I had stayed at a Kyoritsu-style inn before and had a good impression, but I can't say enough good things about this place, and I can't recommend it to anyone. I don't think I will ever stay at a Kyoritsu-affiliated inn like this again. Below are the points I noticed.①The quality of the spring water is the worst. The smell of chlorine is terrible. Probably because we stayed there for so many nights and took a bath with such poor quality water, everyone in my family got rough skin. Also, the space that connects the indoor bath to the open-air bath is flooded, full of mold, and smells like mold.② The quality of the staff is too low. Are they all college student part-time jobs or something? That's what it feels like. The male staff at the reception was inconsiderate and unpleasant. I can't imagine the staff at an inn that costs over 30,000 yen per night.③About meals. At the reception, the guidance was slow, and I felt uncomfortable even before eating. The food is surprisingly not tasty, really not tasty. Eating a not-so-tasty kaiseki course was a chore on the second day.The serving staff may also be busy, and even though I want to call them, they don't make eye contact or are inattentive. All of the staff members are uncomfortable with the customer service, which feels like an extension of the pub that university students work at part-time. There are many staff members who are not dressed properly, many wearing G-SHOCKs, and many women who do not even have their hair tied up.It was too late to start eating at 8pm. I wanted to eat dessert and go home quickly, but I had to wait about 20 minutes after ordering. The breakfast was terrible, the friendliness was terrible, and when a long-haired, ill-dressed male staff member who looked like a college student handed me a tray of breakfast, I thought to myself, ``What the heck is this guy?'' I thought so. Also, even though I said I would bring the rice after this, it took about 10 minutes for them to bring the rice and miso soup. At breakfast on the second day, he either forgot or didn't ask me which pudding I wanted, so I just went home (to be honest, the pudding was so bad that I couldn't eat it). Also, the grill seats were full of small flies and felt disgusting.④The bathroom in the room is so old and dirty that you wonder who would take a bath in it. There was moss growing on the bottom, but I doubt if it was cleaned. Moreover, it is not a hot spring.⑤The entire facility is old. There is only one elevator in the new building, so you may have to wait quite a while. Don't know how to ride an elevator? Another factor is that there are many Chinese people. Half of the guests are foreigners, especially Chinese. The cost was 27,000 yen per person per night on weekdays and 35,000 yen on weekends, but the quality of the hot springs was poor, the food was very disappointing, and the staff were inconsiderate and unpleasant, making it impossible for me to return. It's a rather disappointing and half-finished facility for a ryokan. I got the impression that as a business in Hakone that caters to half of the foreigners, it was able to sustain itself at Hakone prices. There is no doubt that it is not suitable for traveling with loved ones or family. I felt very disappointed as I had been looking forward to my trip to Hakone.

I visited in June 2024. This was the first place I stayed after traveling to Hakone. I arrived late and there was an older family member, so I asked them to drive the car and they did. I was so grateful. And then I checked in, and even though he wasn't good at English, he explained everything to me, which was nice. And the atmosphere of all the hot springs is very nice, there is also an outdoor hot spring, the water is warm, and there are snacks, so I enjoyed them. And the room was great too!I had dinner, a late-night snack, and breakfast, but first of all, the meat for dinner... was really delicious... There were a lot of foods that were a bit sour or salty, but the meat and raw fish were so tasty... I was very satisfied, and I could eat ramen as a late-night snack. This is also delicious.. And the breakfast was a bit salty, but it was all delicious... especially the homemade custard pudding for dessert... it was so delicious...! Be sure to ask for it to be drizzled with maple syrup before eating it!It's worth a visit when you come to Hakone!!

Amazing experience and quality service. Staff were able to explain all facility amenities in English which was a great addition. Breakfast and Dinner provided a huge variety and the earthy taste of the ingredients were very enjoyable. Amenities provided in the room were phenomenal, amenities in the facilities were also plentiful, free food, milk, desserts, baths and so much more. Everything was very clean and peaceful creating a very comfortable environment.Would highly recommend booking early for a cheaper price and definitely the private open air bath.
