Although the interior configuration is old, it is very clean. However, the entrance requires walking up 3 levels of stone stairs, which is difficult to carry with you. In the end, you only need to carry the pullover on the left.It was rainy and cloudy on the day we checked in, but the sky was clear when we woke up the next morning. We could see Mount Fuji at a glance, and we could watch the stars at night. There was also a big kitchen to cook wild food. It was a great vacation.

I rented the place with 6 other friends, for a yoga retreat. The place has a magnificent view and and I thought it was auspicious for yoga and meditation. Also there are many beautiful walks, onsens and restaurants very close to the house. So for this it was perfect.Unfortunately it was February so we couldn't enjoy the balcony nor the bbq.The bathroom is the highlight of the place with the view! However I was expecting a bigger house (it says 80sqm but it feels more like 50-60sqm) it was a bit small for 7 people ( all of us slim women), the pictures are taken with a fisheye lens and it can be tricky. I got confused too as i thought there was 2 separate bedrooms but in fact one side of the living room is turning into a bedroom.I wouldn't suggest this place for 8 people but rather for 4-5.I have another suggestion for the host is to provide a little more in the kitchen, for instance there was no teapot, or coffee maker. It would be nice to have also a few herbs and spices, vinegar etc basically the essential for cooking. There was only salt pepper and soy sauce all in small plastic portions. It's true that the road and parking space are super narrow so if you are not a confident driver it could be a problem. It wasn't for me.I only put 3 stars for service because there was none. I didn't need much but communication was a bit difficult and I'm used to Japan's omotenashi, so my expectations may be high. I guess it is normal but there was no welcoming feeling but it felt a bit uneasy and scary with all the rules and warnings. It made me wonder what did other tenants do ?

Be prepared for a steep walk up to the villa, but the sights around it are well worth the effort you put in. Our favourite was the Old Tokaido Road nestled between the villa and the lake

Great view of the lake, the valley and the mountains all around. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the local bus stop to the house. Just note that the path has significant inclines. Access to the house is via approx. 150 steps. This was not mentioned before. No problem for us despite the heavy luggage, but people with walking difficulties reach their limits here. The villa seems luxurious from the pictures, but the windows and counters were dirty and you had to lay out the futon yourself. The contact was very friendly and answered questions quickly. Nevertheless, 2 stars deducted because a different picture is presented on the Internet.

I used it on a trip with friends! The purpose was to give comfort, but this was the correct answer.Outside the window is the sky and the lake. No joke, the scenery is that good.Enjoy a BBQ while enjoying a toast during the day amidst a vast panoramic view. They provided us with a luxurious time...(We procured the ingredients ourselves)I was able to enjoy the open and extraordinary experience to the fullest!I will definitely use it again when I go to Hakone. The stairs from the parking lot to the building were long lol

The house is located halfway up a mountain, and there is a long staircase to climb to reach the house, which may be a little difficult for children or guests who are older and have inconvenient legs and feet. But the scenery you see when you enter the house is really great. From the balcony, you can have a panoramic view of Lake Ashi and Mount Fuji! The room is very spacious, and the BBQ equipment prepared by the host is also very complete. It would be such a waste not to open a bottle of red wine and have a barbecue with friends, hahaI must come again with friends in the summer! I hope there will be a room available by then~Thanks to the host for the reception!

I was stunned on the balcony. The torii gate of Hakone Shrine added vermilion to the different blue of the lake and sky, and the sightseeing boat was moving slowly through it, making me feel like a hybrid of the Mediterranean Sea and the Sea of Japan. It was a sunny day, so I think I was lucky enough to be able to enjoy this spectacular view, but I now understand the origin of the name Kozora. I had a full stomach and slept well after having a barbecue experience, and it was a great feeling of refreshment.
