The guy that runs the hotel is super friendly and helpful. He gave us lots of tips (and transit info that was not on maps). He also upgraded our room for free as the other guests cancelled, giving us a view on mt Fuji. There are four rooms, which are traditional japanese where you make your own futon. Wifi is a bit spotty and breakfast is okay-ish, but the quaint personal vibe and the good price made our stay enjoyable.

Staying here was a fantastic experience. The owner is deeply knowledgeable of the area and provided amazing advice on how to plan our day. You absolutely have to partake in the evening meals here; you're really missing out if you don't! I would love to stay here again!

The strong point is the owner, who speaks English well (still very rare in Japan) and therefore able to provide information and friendliness, in addition to the location practically 50 meters from the buses and cruise …
