I only saw the google reviews after booking the place and was really nervous after reading all the negative ones, however was pleasantly surprised. The accommodation was very clean, GREAT location and super easy check in and check out. The double room was quite small but manageable. Standard clean hostel, we really enjoyed!

It is written in two languages.First of all, the room was clean and comfortable. The inn is well priced and in a good location. There is one young man (presumably the owner's son) running the whole place, so be prepared to wait a while if you wish to deposit your luggage before check-in. You will have to place your luggage in an open compartment under the stairs, which given that the main door is always unlocked was slightly disconcerting. The young man in charge of the place struggles to communicate in both English and Japanese: he did not respond when I asked him a question and knocked on my door to tell me (with the help of a translator app) that I could save money if I canceled my online booking and paid in cash. It appears they want to avoid paying commission to these websites, which I thought was very suspicious.Furthermore, the walls are very thin, there is a sensor in the doorway that beeps annoyingly, and the washing machine next to my room squeaked very unpleasantly. The shared kitchen is satisfactory but the inside of the microwave and area near the rubbish bin were very dirty. If these complaints do not bother you then I would recommend.A young man, who seems to be the owner's son, is running the inn by himself, so if you want to leave your luggage early, you should know that he won't be able to do it right away. Also, the place to leave your luggage is under the stairs, so it's a bit uneasy considering the front door is always open. It seems that the young people are not fluent in Japanese or English, and even when I say "Excuse me," they don't respond, or, apparently to avoid fees, they say, "It would be better if you cancel your online reservation and pay in cash." There was a part where I couldn't feel at ease, like when the translator told me, ``It'll be fine.''Furthermore, the walls are very thin, so the sensor at the entrance is constantly beeping and making noise, and the washing machine outside the room is also making a lot of noise.Does it need lubrication? The shared kitchen is well equipped, but the inside of the microwave and trash can are dirty. However, the room was clean and comfortable. The location is good and the price is very reasonable, so if you don't mind these things, I recommend it.

The rooms are so tiny, you can barely walk. The washrooms are so small you can't sit on the toilet properly, and there was no Bidet so good luck with that. And to top that off, no place to put a dustbin in the toilet for all the tissues we are expected to use. The AC is not working properly, and in this peak heat, we're more safe outside than inside our own room. The waiting time is very very long. If you come late, you won't be getting the room keys and will have to sit and wait. The location is the only good thing in this hotel.

I don't even want to have one lolFirst of all, there was no one at the counter and I went to my room without paying. It was difficult to carry my carry-on case, so I asked a foreigner to help me. It's a normal house, so it's best not to bring large items here.Even with the air conditioner attached and the temperature set to 16 degrees, it still stays at normal room temperature, and it's really hot in the summer, which is the worst. After taking a bath, I noticed that the ventilation button and air conditioner were out.I made a reservation for a week, but it's the worst. I can't quit because there's no manager.Only the towels looked like microfiber.I heard that the common space was air conditioned. It was also hot when I slept.I can hear a lot of sounds around me lolAlso, although it's nice to have a key in the room, you can only lock it from the inside. There is a possibility that something may be stolen while you are out.

Very disappointed and especially since the hotel was originally well designed and could be a pearl of Nara if maintenance was ensured. Not clean at all, the duvet did not have suitable sheets, traces of dirt on the bedroom walls, air conditioning not maintained and noisy. The shared room is not cleaned, the trash can is overflowing and the dishes are very dirty. As a bonus after making my evaluation on booking the manager found nothing better than to send me this disrespectful message. In short, it's a shame.
