Style.Modern stylish escapist havenSetting.Next to a forest, felt remote yet only a 4 minutes drive down to the lakeExplore.Hakone’s art and nature, skip the top attractions as plenty of underrated spotsRooms.Only 5 rooms. My room Aoi (碧)was more like an apartment, the rooms all had lush forest views, surreal to be so close to the forest you feel like you can open the windows and touch the trees. Am forever spoilt by the bathroom with sauna, cold bath and hotspring bath. The female onsen was just down the hallway. Room had a decent mini bar plus coffee but no tea (you’re supposed to call them for it)@ the hotel. This is my 4th Hakone stay and while the previous hotels all had their selling points, Cocon takes things up a notch. Elegant public and private space, discreet off the beaten path location, definitely a jewel in Hakone.Food & drinks.French Japanese food in wood fired kitchen. At the end of the meal they packed a little wooden bento box for midnight snacksPrices.$800 half boardRating.5/5beautiful new hotel in Hakone

I am very satisfied with the rooms, the staff's service, and the food. When you arrive at the hotel, you will be greeted by a cute goat. The rooms are unified with stylish manufacturer furniture and have a spacious floor plan. The room is also equipped with a hot spring and sauna, making it a perfect experience. If the weather is nice, you can see Mt. Fuji right in front of your room. I was able to spend a luxurious time. Thank you to all the staff for your hard work.

I stayed here on a trip with my parents.I thought a ryokan would be better for my elderly parents, but I ended up choosing Sengokuhara Kokon, which had good reviews and had just opened. The result was correct. There are no complaints about the room, facilities, hot springs, and meals. What impressed me was the confidence and pride the staff had in the service they provided. My parents were very happy, and I feel relieved that I was able to fulfill my filial piety to my parents.Personally, I would like to give an extra star to the selection of free drinks on public buses lol.Thank you for your help this time.

It was the best accommodation I've stayed in recently, with wonderful rooms, high-level staff service, and a healing goat. When I visited Kamakura Kokon last year, I heard that it was opening in Sengokuhara, so I was looking forward to the visit.I was very satisfied with the spacious room, Italian furniture, and above all, the room with a sauna. It was my first experience to be able to enjoy both a sauna and a hot spring in my room. The service level of the staff was also high, and the conversation we had before entering the accommodation was fun and filled with expectations.Dinner was a wonderful combination of Japanese-style French cuisine with wood-fired grilling as a nice accent. In addition, I had a great time listening to the experienced staff members' experiences at other restaurants and inns.Even in recently opened (luxury?) inns, many of the staff were inexperienced and I sometimes had doubts about the level of service, but I realized that the staff here were on a completely different level. And executive treatment? I was able to have a relaxing time while playing with the goats and talking about various things with the staff.Thank you very much for all your help.I would be happy if we could make a multi-night stay plan for Kamakura Kokon and Sengokuhara Kokon, which was a hot topic when we departed.

The rooms are stylish, spacious and clean. luxurious furniture andThe mountain view through the glass windows puts your mind at ease. The bathroom has a hot spring bath and a cold sauna, so you can stay there all day without getting tired. The service is definitely the best in Japan. The staff are really friendly. It was nice that they took great care to make sure I didn't have any inconveniences and that we communicated well even though I couldn't speak Japanese. The free champagne was also delicious. The meal was also top-notch and I enjoyed the beautiful dinner course and two Japanese breakfast styles. The wine list is also good, so if you like alcohol, I recommend ordering it.It was a really, really good stay and I would definitely visit again.I also want to see the cute goat again :)

It's 100 points.I have stayed at many inns in Hakone, but this was the first time in a while that I was able to find one that I was completely satisfied with.Since it had just opened, there weren't many reviews and I had no idea what the place was like, but it turned out to be a good idea. The dishes were all new dishes that showed the chef's passion. Courses at ryokan restaurants are always so large that by the time the main course arrives, it's hard to eat, but this one was just perfect. The wine pairing was also perfect. The room is spacious and the bed is super comfortable. It also comes with a beautiful sauna, so you can prepare your own space.I was impressed by the attention to detail that was put into making the guests feel relaxed. The staff and everyone were very friendly and I enjoyed talking with them.I don't want it to become too famous, but I had a wonderful experience, so I'm writing a review. The three goats were so cute💕It was an inn that made me want to come back again.

A few months before we opened, we received an offer from Ikkyu as a recommended accommodation. There are many wonderful luxury inns in Hakone and Izu, and to be honest, private saunas and stylish French restaurants are not uncommon, so I ignored them. However, a friend who visited the place right after it opened raved about it, so I decided to stay there this time.In conclusion, I'm sorry, but to say the least, it was great. The daily fatigue was blown away. They put a lot of thought into how to make their guests' stay comfortable. The room is spacious and comfortable, the interior is stylish but has no quirks, and has an outstanding taste that will make anyone feel comfortable. The real thing is much nicer than the image on the website, and the high-quality amenities have been carefully selected not only for appearance but also for quality.Of course, the single rose is not an artificial flower, and every detail is perfect.I sometimes stay in rooms with private saunas, but this is the first time I've stayed in a room with a cold bath. I'm also happy to be able to play Roryu! .The public bath is not very large, but it is comfortable and focuses on quality and atmosphere rather than size. This is a wonderful bath that soothes those who enter it.Our meals are made with carefully selected ingredients that take into consideration the health of the people who eat them, and are not only incredibly delicious, but also truly exciting meals that can be enjoyed with all five senses. I'm happy to have French food at night and Japanese food in the morning. As for breakfast, breakfasts at luxury inns tend to be similar. This one is truly unique. This is a breakfast that will make you want to come back for more, and will make you happy throughout the day. The Japanese style of tableware is outstanding and truly wonderful.I've written about a lot of things, but what's worth mentioning is that, even more than the food or the baths, the staff are top-notch.A good inn can be said to have a high level of hospitality.Even if a newly opened inn is high-class, the customer service is often lacking. The staff at Sengokuhara Kokon has a sophisticated atmosphere, and I'm sure they've gathered the best of professionals. Top class customer service.I think everyone should aim for this level if they want to run a first-class inn.He is clean and sophisticated, speaks beautiful Japanese, is attentive to detail, and has a comfortable sense of distance that never becomes annoying. It is especially recommended for those who have been to many high-end ryokans and are accustomed to delicious food, hot springs, and service.I am sure you will feel truly relaxed and healed by the hospitality that goes above and beyond the standard of luxury inns. This is an inn that I definitely want to visit again.Thank you very much for this wonderful time.
