I stayed here without meals, the room was clean, the receptionist was polite, and it was close to Kiyomizu Temple, so I'm glad I stayed there! The public bath is small, but when I went there around 11pm, I had it all to myself.I also recommend a nearby cafe/bar that serves cheese.

The room is compact but clean with water facilities. Chobit is bigApparently there was a bathroom in the basement, but it became a hassle so I didn't go. For breakfast, the rice is shiny and delicious, and the side dishes full of vegetables are very satisfying.

The good thing is that the breakfast was delicious. What I don't like is the lack of cleaning and the response from the front desk, as mentioned in other people's comments. At first glance, it looked stylish and clean, but the folding mirror in the drawer had dirt, hand stains, and foundation on it. There were black stains in the toilet. The shampoo had hair on it.The person at the front desk at check-out had a nice smile and was polite. However, when I asked for the receipt, he just stared blankly, so I'm worried that he might not be able to share the information with me.Did the front desk forget to share information at check-in? I didn't like the response from the front desk at check-in...There were many things that I couldn't get a clear answer to unless I asked them. (Although it's reasonable...)Maybe it's because you're a foreigner, but it can't be helped that you're not familiar with Japanese, but I hope you'll try your best to be funny. When answering the phone before checking in, I couldn't even make out the hotel name.

It was great that you could walk to Kiyomizu Temple, Yasui Konpira Shrine, Gion, etc.It was close to Shimizu Gojo Station and had good transportation links. It was quiet and comfortable. When I opened the curtains, the view was of the apartment next door, so I couldn't open them.Although it was small, there was a large public bath and sauna, so I was able to relax.I would like to use it again when I go to Kyoto.

Had a general OK experience. The room was cramped a bit, and it was cleaned only once every 2-3 days. The staff were friendly and nice generally but they don't speak English which is weird. The location is also not too far from the important places, and the price was generally very good.

The service provided was wonderful but upon check in we were expected to pay an additional tourist tax fee which was only a little amount ¥800 for our two nights. (This is was our 3rd hotel during our trip)Our main let down was the room, we booked a non-smoking room but our bathroom stunk both of cigarettes and urine. We attempted to air the bathroom out which resulted in the Bedroom acquiring the same smell. The curtains do not block out the outside light :( we ended up using our towels as a shield. You get what you pay for.

The hotel was very well maintained and organized. It was nice to have our own sento with an additional sauna. There were additional amenities such as razors, creams and facial cleansers. The card system for the elevator also gave you a certain level of security that no strangers would get lost in the hotel. There are bus stops and the Keihan Line within a relatively small radius. For self-caterers: There are three different convenience stores on the other side of the street and after a short walk of about 7-8 minutes you reach a small Fresco where you can find everything you need for self-catering. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Accommodates 3 parents and children in 1 room. Unprecedented price without meals. It was very helpful. In addition, there is a large (?) public bath in the basement, where you can relax.

Unfortunately, the bathhouse only has a washing area for 4 people, and it's a hassle to have to borrow the key from the front desk.
