I was more lucky than other visitors. The room on the third floor was neater than others. The mattress and pillow looked very old, but the mattress and blanket were with a white cloth cover. However, there was a strange smell when stepping inside at first.I must keep the window open for the whole time. The stairs were very narrow. So if you carry a suitcase over 28 inches, you may not be able to go upstairs.Except for the first floor, there were no washbasins on other floors.(But toilets and sinks were on each floor.)Yes, you may have to brush your teeth and wash your face in the toilet.Besides, the door locker was difficult to use, I just found out a specific ankle so that I was capable of pulling out the key with the success of locking the door. The staff in nightshifts is a kind sir.The stars for services are for him.

An absolute nightmare. Location is not that bad but there a lot of disgusting points about the hotel.First of all, absolutely everything in there is dirty. The place smells. Keychains are sticky. The room floors are dirty. "Futons" have stains, hair and are also sticky when touching them. Also, there's no elevator so, if you have an upper room and have a big suitcase, you are screwed. Stairs are narrow and it's difficult to move when carrying the luggage. There are also cockroaches in the rooms...Please, make yourself a gift and avoid this place

Dirty rooms. Futons full of shit and hair. Cockroaches in the room. Tiny bathroom (shower sink and toilet within 1 square meter all). They do not respond to Booking messages. There is no elevator. The tatami is very uneven. It smells musty. They made us pay the city's tourist tax as soon as we checked in, and 30 minutes later when we left they did not return it to us.

Worst experience I had with hotels in Japan. I could not stay in Kyoto due to the Typhoon and I sent the hotel several messages asking to change the dates and they never replied. Never had such an awful experience in Japan. That’s a shame.

Upon arriving the staff were not too friendly and quite stand offish but as I stayed longer the man who worked there was very sweet and helped me out with washing my clothes. The location is very good for sightseeing. The room I was staying in had a strange smell, it just smelt old. I would recommend staying here short term and not long term like I did.

No bad for what you pay...staff do what they can even if they don't speak a word in English. There are laundry machines but dry machine is not working and it's on 4th. floor and there's no lift, luckily I was staying on the ground floor. Rooms are fine.

When I checked in, the reception desk was unmanned and my key was placed on a piece of paper with my name written on it.The tatami mats were very dirty and the futons were folded roughly, making it feel a little damp. The entrance to the room (an ordinary sliding door) can be locked, but it looks like it's going to break easily, so it's best to leave your valuables out of the room.Apparently there is only one bathroom on the first floor (I took a quick look and found that it was a unisex bathroom, and it was dirty and smelly...the bath mat was also dirty.), but there were no instructions posted anywhere, so I wasn't sure.I had heard that yukatas (indoor clothes?) were provided, but the only thing in the room was towels, and the reception desk was empty for a long time. When I called, a woman answered and asked, ``Is there anyone there?'' looking annoyed.I didn't feel like using the dirty bathroom, so I looked for a public bath that was open until midnight and went there, even though it was late at night.I also heard a rustling noise from time to time in the corner of my room (behind the refrigerator?), and I wasn't sure if it was a cockroach or something, but I thought it was an insect, so I was restless and couldn't sleep well.It was so bad that I couldn't help but think it was cheap.I won't stay here again.

Basic ryokan, but nothing more. We were missing some items that were mentioned in our reservation and the housekeeper came into our room while we were sleeping in the morning.Be careful with the most recent washing machine, it is not accessible to customers even if it seems to be, we were fooled and we lost our laundryThe room is still rather clean and well soundproofed!
