Our 3 night stay at Mercure Kyoto Station was by far the highlight of our 2 week vacation in Japan. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from Kyoto Station.  …

The hotel itself looks lovely when you arrive with a lovely scent/aroma in the reception area. I wouldn’t however let the name deceive you as it is not near the train station!  …

Many thing is exceptional, food was great, server girl was very helpful and polite. The room was very comfortable, vintage style combined with technology which I really liked. The only thing I can highlight as negative about the behavior of reception staff and his wording makes you feel bad. They need more training on the communication matters.(when I arrived the hotel there was no one at the front desk)

I was attending an event near Kyoto Station. The hotel was not only conveniently located nearby, my room was strategically located with direct view of the Kyoto Tower. Beautifully lit at sunrise and neon lit at night - it was perfect. Excellent hospitality with acceptable breakfast variety with excellent coffee.

I'm really impressed with this hotel, especially for the low price. It's excellent value.Easy to find the hotel from the train station using Google maps. The front counter staff speak English. The room is beautifully designed, modern, and very comfortable. The bed is comfortable, and the shower pressure is good. The room is quiet, even if the room is near the lift. The TV in the room has Netflix available and the usual TV channels. The restaurant downstairs is convenient and reasonably priced. The lounge area in the lobby is nicely designed and welcoming.I recommend this place to anyone on business or pleasure.

We had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is well located, the amenities are very good. The decor in the room, downstair lounge was excellent. The front desk staff were very helpful, friendly and polite, which was a stark contrast to our experience with the hotel we stayed in, in Tokyo.

Modern hotel nested in a quiet area. Kyoto station and shopping mall only 10min walk. First floor has a posh lobby with restaurant that offered great breakfast buffet and dinner options. Staff were super friendly and spoke perfect English. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and had good toiletries. We stayed for 3nights, had a wonderful time and felt very safe as 2 female travellers. The only down side was the lack of an onsite laundry, there is a laundromat 5mins walk but can’t say it’s the cleanest.
