This place is really cool! Our favorite part of the hotel was the activities. They had tons of little events/activities. The two favorite we did were (1) kimono experience (2) zen garden making. We were outfitted with amazing kimonos and the hotel even set us up with a hair stylist and photographer to take pics. They are pics we will hold dear for the rest of our lives. The gardener for the hotel was such a nice man and walked us through the zen garden making class. It was so cool and life changing!

Our romantic getaway at this adults-only retreat was nothing short of magical. The secluded location and intimate atmosphere set the stage for a perfect couples' escape. …

I got married at Ritz Carlton Kyoto recently and it was an amazing experience. The wedding planner and the team that we worked with was super friendly and did everything in their ability to make sure everything went smoothly.I made a big mistake and left my suit in another hotel and didn’t realise it was missing until I had to change out of my kimono into the suit half way through the wedding reception. Our wedding planner went out to collect it for me and I can’t express how much I appreciate it. Asamiさん、本当にありがとうございます!The food was really good. Our guests gave us plenty of positive feedback on the wedding meal and we also got to try the in-room breakfast. The hotel is definitely a luxury, but in exchange you get quality services and facilities. From the outside you won’t notice but the hotel actually has a very comfortable sauna, pool and a decent sized gym.

Truly exceptional property in every regard and tremendous ambassador for the Marriott system. We stayed 7 nights in late August 2024 and the hotel was in meticulous condition and looked brand new.  …

We were blown away with the RC Kyoto and it has easily become one of our favorite hotels! We visited the RC Kyoto for the 1st time in December 2023, during the Winter Holidays. At the time, I was Titanium status. …

I think this has to be one of if not the best ritz Carlton in the world.Unmatched service from check in to check out. From helping with the bags, sitting down and offering tea and sweets at check in. It felt seamless and relaxed while being professional. We got upgraded to a garden terrace suite, very well designed and beautiful garden. Bathroom was very nice, large shower and tub. Beds were comfy, good bedding as well. The afternoon tea was very well presented and fair my priced.Overall a great experience, definitely recommended.I think my favourite property in Kyoto is the Hotel Mitsui, but the ritz is neck and neck with the Mitsui.

We just wrapped up a great three night stay at the Ritz in Kyoto. The service was friendly and genuine and they truly went out of their way from a service perspective. They even picked up three bags of gifts and things from us, packaged it up and had it shipped to our home in the US as we didn’t want to drag it all with us.The architecture of the hotel is amazing, including the serene waterfall and then dramatic lobby entrance. You can hardly believe you're in the middle of a city. While super quiet, it's very conveniently located to everything. The room was well designed and very comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very nice hotel with great service, wonderful rooms and great location.Breakfast was a little harried as very busy, with not enough tables to seat right away. Would have to reserve the time for breakfast. Spa beautiful, but also massages not readily available, however our guide was able to secure someone from the outside to come to the spa and massage was wonderful. Very accommodating hotel, we were rushing to check in as we had a geisha dinner, and the hotel gave us the room key, with proviso we would formally check in after dinner. Very nice, and impressed with staff. highly recommend - only downside that their restaurants are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Only Bar lounge available for light meal

Amazing experience at Ritz kyoto!!! We absolutely loved the hotel — most of all the service there is OUTSTANDING! Lin at the Italian restaurant is so kind and accommodating. She stands out! Also Bayu and Nobu at breakfast as well as Marin at check in.The team at Ritz Kyoto truly made our experience FANTASTIC! The hotel is a bit dark as far as lighting goes and the rooms are small, but the service and ambiance really makes up for it! Would stay here again!
