It was my first time in Nara, and Shisui exceeded my expectations. You can also earn points with your Marriott Bonvoy account, which is a nice bonus. The hotel blends traditional design with modern, comfortable rooms as well as a beautiful garden. My room had a private open-air onsen, and it was incredibly relaxing to soak while watching the rain.I had the omakase dinner at Suioyou, and the local cuisine was both warm and comforting. The location is excellent—just a 5-minute walk to the station and close to several key attractions in Nara. The only downside was the lack of flexibility when I requested a late checkout, which was a bit disappointing.

A commemorative trip for my daughter's birthday. My school trip was canceled due to the coronavirus, and I was planning to go to Nara, so I looked for a Nara-like accommodation and decided to come here.historic roomIn November 1951, Emperor Showa signed the instruments of ratification of the San Francisco Peace Treaty and the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty. This historic place, linked to the restoration of independence, has round tables, chairs, and furniture that remain largely as they were at the time.A combination of tradition and modernity. It is a modern hotel that retains the good old things, but the rooms can be unlocked with a mobile key. It was a very relaxing and comfortable space. There is no lounge, but I toasted with non-alcoholic champagne with my daughter at Garden Delight, where you can enjoy free-flowing champagne. The breakfast was delicious and I enjoyed it slowly. It was a comfortable accommodation with great attention to detail and I would definitely stay here again.

I used it on my anniversary.restaurant while enjoying dinnerThe waiter was serving a table elsewhere. When I was there, they brought the tray to our table without any hesitation.I left it behind. I'm sure he was desperatePlease be aware that it is a decent hotel.I want it...LOL I told the other store staff about this. When I spoke to them...the response was excellent. When you look at the whole thing, you realize that Asian people have bad manners. The poor manners of people with children was noticeable.Inbound demand is something that cannot be helped. Not recommended for those who are not good at that area.Unfortunately...Rooms, scents, and buildings with historical valueThe new accommodation facilities are amazing. One word.

A wonderful inn located in a historic building. There was turndown time and cookies were placed 😸Perhaps because it was a three-day weekend, the parking lot was full and I had to park somewhere else.

It seems that it has only been open for about a year, but there are some buildings that have been designated as tangible cultural properties by Nara Prefecture, and it is a very high-quality hotel where you can feel the connection between tradition and modernity in a landscape that gives you a sense of history. From the check-in room, it was a quiet and calming space where you could forget about everyday life. The main building of the hotel is said to be the renovated Nara Governor's Residence, which was built in the Taisho era. Shiny new things and cities are nice, but lately I like things that make use of old things and places where you can feel nature, so I was glad I came even to be shown to my room. ☺️ As a Marriott benefit, you can choose from points, local sweets, and breakfast, so I chose breakfast without hesitation! The room is a junior suite with a hot spring bath ♨️ The spacious room is designed with traditional beauty in mind and gives you the feel of Nara. Some rooms have an open-air bath, but this time we chose a room with a natural hot spring bath inside. The hot water in this hot spring was so good that I not only soaked in it at night, but even the next morning, and even more so, I sat on the edge and enjoyed the footbath until the very last minute before checking out.Garden Delight at dusk is a free flow of champagne while looking out at the garden. This is a luxurious experience. I enjoy traveling around sightseeing, but I also like relaxing and doing nothing at a hotel. And for breakfast, you can see that the rice is carefully prepared with the first and second dishes. Of course, I could get refills of the pork soup and tea porridge. The Shine Muscat in the room was also delicious. It was a wonderful birthday stay 🎂
