Very clean, comfortable, excellent location.The building is easy to find. Wifi password shared in the main door so in case of doubt you can ask. The enter code is sent by Agoda. And a qrcode in the door with a youtube tutorial on how to open the door is shown. The master welcomed me and showed me the facilities. The building is old but super clean. The beds are comfortable, with ac and a small fan in every bed. Towels are provided. The kitchen is full equipment. But there are a lot of places to eat outside that nobody use the kitchen. A lot of touristic information is on the hostel walls ( how to use bus, metro, what to visit, where to eat cheap, etc) I spent two nights in weekdays and it was silence and sleep super comfortable. Location is amazing. I was allowed to store my bicycle in the hostel :) The master is very kind and don’t hesitate to ask him anything you need

The location is really good. All major facilities such as Kiddy Land, Don Quijote, Seria, and Book Off are all 5 minutes away. The unique thing is that it is a guesthouse and has a bathtub. Towels and shower products are all free to use, and laundry is also available. Laundry is 300 yen! Although I arrived late at night, I was able to do my laundry with the help of the friendly hosts. There was no difficulty in understanding the system. Water was also free! There are restaurants right next door, so you don't have to worry about eating. There are no bed bugs and hygiene is good.

The only positive point is the location, but damn it is dirty! 2cm of dust on the bathroom shelves (1 for the entire hotel) hairs lying on the floor and in the sinks, even after cleaning, marks on the floor and walls of the room, a towel with yellow marks (?) left in the room. As well as a musty smell as soon as you walked through the front door. Luckily the toilets seemed to be the cleanest place in the hotel and the bedding was clean. But I will never come back. Excessive value for money for the quality offered, you can find hotels at the same price for much more cleanliness but a little further away.

The worst guesthouse ever, it is located in a noisy and dirty alley with shady windows entrance however good location. The common area is messy, people hanging their clothes everywhere with random stuffs laying around. No sense of organisation whatsoever. However, the WORST part is the hygiene, the bedding is just a nightmare being unbelievably DIRTY, it is covered by dust, dirt, and human hairs. I didn't even dare to touch it since the bed bug was going around and who have known how many people have used it and they didn't change at all. The room environment is also just bad... smelly and low ceiling. I know this is a guest house, one might argue that we can't have too much expectation, you get what you paid for. But this is another level of nasty, please have better operation and clean it for goods!

I liked the place. It is congested but clean. The best part is the towels are complimentary and you can have a good comfortable bath. The place is not suitable for anyone with a knee problem as it has a steep flight of stairs to the room.
The rooms and beds are well maintained and comfortable.

Location is perfect, next to the nightclubs. The rest sucks, service is bad and there was no one at check-in. 1 shower for 15+ people and the rooms are dirty with little to no room for your luggage. Would not recommend.

The location is difficult to find. Security is lax. The facility is old and small. The location is very good. Looks like minimal cleaning has been done. It can't be helped because the location is good, but it is recommended for those who have a wide tolerance.

I stayed for two nights and three days.Is it noisy because it's a guest house? That's what I thought, but that wasn't the case.The lights in the dormitory room were off after 10pm. So I was able to sleep peacefully.However, the bunk bed made a creak when it moved a little, so I sometimes woke up from the sound.Other than that I'm satisfied.The shower and toilet were clean, and the fact that you could use the kitchen yourself was a big plus.And since it's in a good location between Kawaramachi and Kiyamachi, it's easy to access not only city buses but also Hankyu, Keihan, and municipal subways, making it easy to sightsee.I'm a little worried about the safety at night, but considering the price, I think it's reasonable.I plan to stay here again the next time I come to Kyoto.

This is a hostel for backpackers or travelers. The ones complaining are expecting to pay a dime for a private room. I enjoyed my stay here, the price is high for the facilities that is true but the location is unbeatable. I'd come back for sure.

The hostel is in a great location! The owner is kind and smiling. We used the mixed dorm, there are curtains around each bed. A small kitchen and a fridge are available.

If the accommodation fee is more than 2500 yen, please don't stay there, it's a rip-off.It's originally a guesthouse where you can stay for 2,000 yen, but I was forced to pay 4,000 yen because I made a same-day reservation and it was on a weekend. By the way, other guests stayed for 3 consecutive days for 1,800 yen per night.I am a solo traveler who stayed in guesthouses in Kyushu and Tohoku, and the cleanliness of the facilities and beds were in the 2,000 yen class.When making a reservation, please do not pay in advance if you are not satisfied with the price. The owner doesn't come to the store, so you won't get your money back unless you go through a lot of trouble, such as relying on the police. If you are told that they only accept PayPay, please decline immediately if the price is high. There's only one bed left. They may tell you that the space will be filled soon, but feel free to decline. If you search for guesthouse on Google Maps, you will find many good places around Kyoto Station.

I think the location and price are great.However, the curtain that separates the bed is short, and the bed seems to be a pipe type, so it shakes a lot when the person underneath moves.There is no staff on-site, and you enter using a code key. Inquiries made on line were quickly responded to.
