The facilities are unique and the staff are friendly. However, since it is an old house, it is not soundproof.I can even hear the sound of snoring from the room next door.At some age, going to a hotel is good for your mental health.

The owner is friendly, and the location and atmosphere are all good.It has a tatami room in an old traditional house that really feels like a traditional Japanese house, and the cafe and lounge area on the first floor have a nice feel. The bathroom is a bit damp though.🚻 šŸ˜‚(The 1st floor is a flush toilet, the 2nd floor is a J style (formerly a Korean commercial toilet)Oh, for men, there is a separate urinal on the second floor. It has a tap that resembles a laundry sucker and has a wide water tank, so I was able to wash dirty white laundry by putting detergent in hot water. There is a separate hanger on one side for drying. Otherwise, it's 200 yen for washing and 100 yen for 20 minutes of drying. You can simply order and eat curry on the first floor for 1,000 yen, breakfast toast for 600 yen, and ā˜•ļøI think coffee was about 500 yen.(*As of April 2024)Don't expect soundproofing.Anyway, you can just think of it as a school trip and a youth hostel. Haha.

Long time since I have stayed in a guesthouse, but glad I did. We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were so friendly and really helpful, all had great English. Great recommendations for local restaurants, bath house and masseuse. Most powerful showers in Japan and always hot water. There is noise from other guests (our room was near the kitchen), but everyone was polite and respectful so it didn’t affect our experience. I didn’t detect and musty smells, but did notice you can buy an abundance of cheap smelly things you could use if you have a low olfactory threshold. I found the futons really comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the tatami experience.
