Stunning tatami room, superb amenities and at the foot of a hill with the most stunning temple. Absolutely stunning in autumn. The train noise took a night to get used to but it was fine. Very very comfortable house. About a 3 Min walk to train station and 20/30min walk from the centre of Kyoto. Can’t wait to go back.

Feeling kind of bad for this review but I want to warn you.Pros: good location, clean, well organized, quite spacy for Japan, has good appliances.Cons: Right next to the train tracks with a pedestrian crossing that makes a loud bell noise every 10-15 minutes. They provide ear plugs, but they don't really help if you are a light sleeper. The futons are a little hard.I found a cockroach on my pillow one morning, but that can happen anywhere and was just bad luck. We kicked it out of the apartment so no worries (^^). The place is clean, no worries.

A great place to stay in Kyoto, close to 2 train stations, convient stores and restaurants. The only downside is that the place is right next to the tracks, so the sound of the trains may disturb light sleepers. However, the hosts are very considerate as they provide ear plugs to those staying. The place is very clean and well kept and would highly recommend.

Nice place for a good price. There is one room for sleeping and one with a small kitchen. The bathroom has a shower separated from the toilet as can be seen in the pictures. One major downside to look out for is that the trains pass by just a few steps from the building. If you are a light sleeper you will have trouble sleeping adequately. I was fine so I can't complain, but keep that in mind.

Everything is good except that the railway is literally 4 meters from the room which makes a lot of noise.

I like the house very much. It's a Japanese-style B&B. The house is very clean. It's worth staying here for friends who come to Japan. Nice guesthouse, You're worth it!
