We had an amazing meal in a quaint old folk house in a quiet mountain village. The warm customer service of the owner couple and the presence of the signboard dog, Boss, will soothe your heart. Personally, the bed was very comfortable, and I was able to sleep well thanks to the moderate warmth of the hot water bottle provided. I would definitely like to visit again in a different season.

It is located at the northern tip of Kyoto City, further north than Kurama, and can only be reached by taking the R477 from Keihoku in Ukyo Ward, or by passing through Kuta via R367 from Sakyo Ward.If you are traveling by private car, we recommend going via Keihoku.I wonder if this place can be called an old folk house auberge, but in any case, it is different from the dishes that are common in old folk house inns, and the dishes are full of surprises that make you wonder, "I can eat this here!" will be done. I want to go there just for this meal.Enter through the back door where the host cooks, and walk through the dining space to the guest room building. This is the best inn where you can truly relax and feel like you are occupying the entire building and grounds.

Home of a Scottish husband and a Japanese wife. Before the coronavirus, it was a ryokan opened for foreigners. The husband had a background in working at a four-star hotel in Australia. An old folk house that looks like Totoro running aroundI guess it's a condominium that is still being used as is.The meals prepared with vegetables from their own garden are very delicious.Of course, you are also welcome to come just for lunch or dinner.Luxury that cannot be experienced in the city. The bath is very spacious and has a modern feel.I haven't been able to go abroad for the past two years. Here, you can take your time and feel like you've traveled from the city.It is a space where you can experience a mini-overseas experience. They live together.Dog (Boss) and Hiru-san (Gatchan)Hanase Highland Inn is essential.I think it's the bellhop and the manager♪
