My husband and I stayed here for one night on September 15th while traveling to Hokkaido by car.The first thing that offended me when I arrived at the hotel was the arrogant behavior of the elderly guide in the parking lot. This is my first time staying at this hotel, so I don't know where to park, but the guide doesn't even bother to call out to me to guide me, just arrogantly waving his guide stick around and telling me to hurry up.Well, I thought it couldn't be helped, so I pulled myself together and checked in.First of all, regarding the facilities, the room I was shown to at the front desk was in a building called "Yubetsukan" which was quite a long time ago and was quite far from the main building. There are stairs, and it was quite physically taxing to go up and down the stairs with heavy carry bags and luggage. The structure of this building is not only the same for Yubetsukan, but also for Hamanasukan, which is adjacent to Yubetsukan, with stairs in the middle of the passageway.I think these two buildings are probably old buildings that are structurally old. It is very unfortunate that the inn is not kind to elderly people or people with physical disabilities. In addition to Yubetsukan and Hamanasukan, Shoenkan, Yuyukan, and Boyokan have barrier-free access to the elevator hall.If you are an elderly person or a person with a physical disability who saw this review and are considering staying, it is essential that you check in advance whether the route to your room is barrier-free.I hope that the hotel will be completely barrier-free in the future.Next, regarding the room rating, I gave it a 1 star because I had no choice but to do so due to the review system, but to be honest, I don't want to give a 1 star rating at all.The reason is that I checked in around 4pm, but when I entered the room, the futon was already spread out, and as you can see in the image, it looked like it had been thrown away by the guest who stayed the night before. There was unsanitary tissue paper under the table by the window, and long women's hair and dust that did not belong to my wife were scattered around the bedside of the futon. When I witnessed this, I felt sick at how unsanitary it was.I have never seen a hotel with such unsanitary and sloppy cleaning in the rooms. Even though the coronavirus pandemic has subsided, it is common sense for lodging facilities to always pay close attention to hygiene and inspect and clean the inside of the hotel and guest rooms.I think this tissue paper waste is caused by the fact that when guests check out, they immediately collect used bedding and lay out the next guests' futons. The desk placed next to the window was never moved, so it is thought that this was the result of cleaning only the visible areas without inspecting underneath the desk. This is a very harsh review regarding the guest rooms, but this is not meant to be malicious, but rather an honest opinion that I hope will help improve our business in the future. As for the food, both dinner and breakfast are buffets, but compared to buffets at hotels of the same rank as this hotel where I stayed in the past, there were fewer types of dishes and desserts, and the items were elaborately prepared. The food available was limited, and it appeared that many of them were commercial-grade ingredients that had been simply cooked. Therefore, the taste of the food was not particularly delicious, but rather average. Also, the dinner buffet includes an all-you-can-drink menu of several types of alcoholic beverages, but my wish would be for them to spend more on the food and upgrade the quality and content rather than spending more on the all-you-can-drink option. I thought.Unfortunately, the overall review is 1 star, but other than the partially barrier-free building and the unsanitary and sloppy cleaning of the rooms, it's a pretty average hotel.
