We stayed in the summer of 2020.There was only one other guest at the time, and I thought it was gone now, but I was relieved to see that it was still going on.It's close to the tram and close to the park. It's a good place because it's cheap.

The boss is from Shanghai, what a shame to the people of Shanghai! The hotel was far away, expensive, had almost no staff, and it was inconvenient to get anywhere. The boss speaks in a Taiwanese educational style. You tell me that you booked a room on Booking.com, and he gives you a comprehensive introduction to this website, as if it was your first time booking online. Only cash payment is accepted. The real-time exchange rate on WeChat is 1 yuan = 22.2 yen. He calculated it as 20 because it was the easiest. Why didn't you say that you didn't open the platform payment to avoid agency fees? Why don't you say that all the youth hostels in Sapporo are full but your place is always empty? Nothing good, I stayed for one night and a person in the dormitory coughed all night. It was the only hotel in my month-long trip in Japan where I didn’t take a shower on the same day. This kind of place and people are designed to absorb my bad luck. I can stay here all night and set the alarm clock in the morning to leave immediately. In conclusion, I read every bad comment and agree with everything terrible about this hostel. Although I'm Chinese too, I will definitely not recommend anyone to book this place operated by a moody Shanghai person.

I don't have much good to say about the place. They took a checklist of how to make a guesthouse and made the cheapest possible choices.Staff is almost never there, the owner is moody, there is no proper locker, only something you can fit your purse in, internet is slow. Etc..Now two things i particularly disliked. The first one isn't horrible, but it got me to understand where i was, and who i was giving money to.It is located on a small street between building where snow piles up, making it hard to walk and drive. It is Hokkaido so nothing weird about that. The neighbour of the guest house got stuck with his car, so i got in and told it to the owner so that we go and help him. He never reacted, never moved, even though he wasn't busy with anything. He simply didn't care. Another guest ended up coming with me to push the car of the poor guy.Second thing, they let us do the bedmaking. Again the place is cheap so i don't really mind putting the effort. But some guests dont bother and use the futon as it is. So futon smell of the prior guestS. Yet they don't give you the proper sheets and you have nothing to wrap your cover in.All in all, knowing now who they are and how they work, i regret my choice. You have other friendly hostels and guesthouses in Sapporo, i would advise to choose one of them.
