Best place to stay in Myoko Kogan, run by tirelessly helpful Australian couple who will literally do anything to make your stay a life long memory. Peter and Jenn have been in the area for 8 years and their local experience will make all the difference to your holiday in this area whether it is for skiing, golf or motorcycle touring. Rooms are luxurious and Hugh by Japanese standards. I will becoming back here in summer or winter for sure.

Family group of 7 adults and one child. Very helpful and friendly owners Jen and Pete and staff. Clean, comfortable. Great onsen and breakfast which kept us going all day on the slopes. Would highly recommend and plan to return.

What a great place run by fantastic hosts Jen & Pete. We stayed at Refre Hotel for a few nights. Excellent location, very clean hotel, delicious breakfasts. Pete was so generous with his time and shuttled me to a lovely little bakery as well as a great spot to go snowshoeing. Such wonderful service!

Our family (2+2) stayed at Refre in one of their family rooms.How to explain Refre? It’s a blend of Aussie and Japanese culture and style. It’s pretty much like staying at Jen and Pete’s place - which of course it is. They were very helpful with providing lifts to resorts or dinner out, and providing advice on where to ski or what to check out.Facilities and space are very good, the lounge bar and breakfast area are great to get people to mingle and make “holiday friends”.Excellent location for both skiing and local restaurants.All in all very good and would highly recommend to friends and family.

Refre is everything you could want in a ski accommodation. It's more like staying in a very well-run, family-style lodge than a hotel. The location is great, close to the lifts and nice restaurants. On arrival, we were given a quick tour and explanation of all the facilities. Our room was very large by Japanese standards, with comfortable western-style beds. Breakfast was delicious and cooked quickly. The lounge-bar area is a great place to hang out, encouraging socialising with other guests and it's family friendly with comfortable seating and a wide variety of games available. There's also all-day access to a dining room that can be used for those preferring a quieter space. There are two beautiful onsens (with indoor and outdoor baths) that can be booked for private use for 25 minute slots) which is a nice treat at the end of the day. There's lots of nice extras like boot spikes available to borrow on icy nights, a laundry with a large drying area and local lifts (even across to Arai at the end of our trip for a very reasonable fee). The hosts Jenn and Peter and their lovely staff were warm and very helpful. We loved everything about Refre and hope to return.

My family and I stayed at Refre for Christmas this year. We had a fantastic time. The hotel is very comfortable and clean with great facilities. The hosts Jen and Peter were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. They were warm and welcoming and always helpful. The on-site onsen is a treat especially after a day skiing. A great location. My partner stayed at the Refre hotel in Feb/March 23' and had a blast! Jen, Pete and their team were very accommodating, friendly, and always willing to help out. The facilities like the onsens were clean and useful. The vibe in the hotel is nice, the bar is like a very chill speak easy which I'm a fan of. I'd highly recommend for everyone to check this out.

The team at Refre were fantastic. The hosts Jen and Pete were extremely helpful and knowledgeable of Myoko and the surrounding areas. The hotel facilities were very good and exceeded our expections. We were well fed at breakfast with good quality food which kept us going on the slopes for a full day. I would happily stay at Refre again and will reccomend this place to family and friends.

It's not a big place, but the service is excellent, breakfast is made to order, and delicious oatmeal. The boss/mother driver provides free pick-up and drop-off at the station and ski resort. You can reserve a private session at the hotel hot springs, so you don’t have to be honest with strangers. The price is very reasonable, I give it 5 stars
