We did not stay at this hotel, but ate SUCH an incredible meal from such gracious hosts, I had to come rave about it! My husband found this as our fancy dining experience while on a ski trip. We came with our almost-three-year-old child and were all treated so wonderfully. The food was some of the best I've had in Japan (and we eat a lot and love the food here)--the kid's steak was hands down the most amazing meal my kid has ever had, and it was all served with love by a capable host and a doting grandma! My child loves rice and the grandma loved feeding it to him so much. We got to really relax and enjoy. When I got back to Tokyo, a classmate of mine was describing where she's stayed with her family every year while skiing in Hakuba for 17 years. It was Le Petit Hotel! Our experience was not a one-off—this place has been a gem for a long time.

It has become my favorite inn that I want to visit again and again! My first stay was a snowboarding trip for 3 days and 2 nights.Originally, I had been to Hakuba many times. This time I was going as a couple, so I was looking for an inn that included meals and found this inn that had a good reputation for its food.It was a very comfortable stay as I felt a good personality from beginning to end.Grandma was also cute and soothing. The food is amazing and amazing! !We were served about 6 dishes in a course similar to creative French cuisine.Everything was delicious, and I noticed how carefully the presentation and ingredients were prepared.Food quickly disappeared from the plate.Eating at a restaurant in Tokyo costs more than twice as much.I was talking to my husband about whether it would be okay to just pay for the accommodation because of the quality. After eating, I booked my next snowboarding trip with a friend on the same day.And today I came back from a snowboarding trip with a friend.I'm posting a review here. This steak was the most delicious I've ever had! It was so great!Next time I'll do it in spring or summer without snowboarding.I'm looking forward to making a reservation for a course meal with different ingredients.

One of the most pleasant stays we’ve had in Japan and a great way to end a two month Winter Japan Trip from Hokkaido to Nagano. Masa and his family went above and beyond in terms of hospitality and we will be back to stay every year in Hakuba.Wifi was solid when hotel wasn’t too busy. No Ethernet.Breakfast was great value and something tasty every morning. Comes with an omakase set of crepes/croissants/standards with salads, eggs and toast. Fruit and juice with coffee and different teas to follow.Dinner is omakase with generally five to six courses French Japanese style. Can always be customized the night before. Everything is locally sourced bought from the markets the day before. Very filling and great farm to table experience.Rooms are comfy and you can easily move single beds together to make a bigger bed. Washrooms and baths are larger than the usual. No onsen but a decent public baths separated by gender.Host family/management is very accommodating. Helped us with hotel transfer (from another hotel in Hakuba) and drop off to the Happo One Bus Terminal. Also gave the most detailed guides to shuttles/restaurants etc. upon arrival making the multiple shuttle system here in Hakuba much easier to decipher.Great experience and highly recommended.

The place was always clean and tidy. The rooms were great and i have no complaints at all. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to stay. I will definitely be returning soon and i look forward to see them all again. Thanks Ben

Recently stayed at the hotel for a week and would highly recommend it! Masa and his family are incredibly accomodating and lovely people. Great location and I would definitely suggest booking a nights dinner at the restaurant as that was a very good meal. Will be back

We had a lovely stay here for a week. The value for money was ridiculously good, breakfast served every morning and about a 1 minute walk in snow gear to the shuttle which brought us straight to the slope. Heaps of food options in echoland about 5-10 minutes walk away. The main highlight was the impeccable service from the owners and the chef.
