Wow! Chris and the Elan team were very accommodating and provided an excellent experience for our whole crew. My partner and I stayed in a well-appointed room overlooking the lake. AC was great and room was clean. Our first day, Chris cooked us a fantastic hot breakfast. On our second day, a member of our group needed to visit the local hospital. Without hesitation, Chris offered to drive us there and even picked us up and took us to a bakery on the way back. I’ve never experienced service like this before and we’re leaving feeling refreshed and grateful. We’d definitely stay at Elan in the future!

We had the privilege of dining at Elan Hotel Lake Nojiri for a large group dinner in January. Chris and the team made us all feel welcome. The food was incredible, the ambience and atmosphere was truly beautiful. We cannot wait to come again and next time stay at this gorgeous hotel.

Just had to give the Elan Hotel a 5 star rating all round Chris and Mark were very welcoming and great to have a chat I went there for the night while I was driving around Japan in a campervan with my 2 sons just for a night off from the camper life. So glad we picked this place we pulled up Chris was there ready to check us in. The beds were very comfy the rooms and the hotel very clean and well laid out. Chris even said my son could take one of the paddle boards over to the island on the lake which he did. In the morning Chris cooked us a delicious breakfast. We stayed at the Elan Hotel in summer and it was the most perfect place for a lakeside summer holiday, complete with access to stand up paddle boards to explore the gorgeous Lake Nojiri. The team at Elan Hotel are warm and welcoming. Breakfast and dinners were delicious! Highly recommended

Chris and team were incredibly hospitable and went out of their way to ensure our experience was a great one. They were very happy to give us a lift to nearby locations which was a godsend since we didn’t have a car. Would love to stay again to experience the lake in a different season.

It was very comfortable and cozy. Service was excellent and was situated in front of the lake Nojiri, so the view in the morning was beautiful. Breakfast was served well and quick, thanks to the host (Chris) for the hospitality.

We had a perfect time. Chris would go out of his way to make every part of our stay perfect. Taking the Stand-up-Paddles to row over to the shrine island at sunset was the highlight of the two days of relaxing at beautiful lake Nojiri.

Nestled alongside the beautiful lake, we got to bear witness to the very beginnings of Elan. The room was cosy and warm on the cold nights. Our hosts were accommodating of our needs, and we even got good old Aussie Vegemite to go with our breakfast.
