Conveniently located just a 5 minute (and under) drive to Hakuba Goryu and equipped with a warm ski gear room, this accommodation is perfect for a large group that's looking to get skiing and riding done on their trip. Goryu offers night skiing as well so that's icing on the cake for this lodge in terms of location. Ample parking space available for the many occupants that would enjoy the accommodation. A couple of restaurants, a public bath and ski rentals just a short walk away.Rating the rooms as an occupant of the 3 bedded bunk room (since it's unfair to judge on behalf of the other rooms, as every room is so very different... such as the one with the huge ringing chandelier that rustles through the night - which our housemates did not appreciate) - The bedding and mattress were less than acceptable for a villa of this size, quite literally what you get in hostels. The door handle is broken so our door stays open all night. Our toilet tap is slightly leaky and the shower gets the whole bathroom wet but at least we can get hot showers down on the first floor's heated bathroom, where there are two wooden tubs that fill up and make your personal onsen. The heating is also wonky with some places better heated than others. The family took turns switching seats at breakfast to stay warm by the heater.The management of the place is kind and genuine so we appreciated our stay at the very least.

Huge house with minimal heating in common areas, a lot of space with average quality beds. Place feels quite run down and industrial.
