This was our first time skiing outside of Europe. We were a little apprehensive at first, however the hotel staff and management gave us fantastic advice upon arrival of where to hire equipment and how to get around the resorts. Accommodation and restaurants within the complex were absolutely brilliant. I’ve been skiing for 25years, 2/3weeks a season and 2 full winter seasons in Austria. I had my best days skiing ever in hakuba. We are coming back and can’t recommend phat packers enough. PS a bottle of Buckfast and iron bru goes along way.

Had the sickest experience at Phatties. Cam and all the staff are absolute legends, the type of people to give you the shirt off their backs! The service was sensational, the staff were friendly, and the lifts are a 30 second walk out the back door. Will definitely be coming back when I'm in Hakuba again 🤙

Stayed here after our original accommodation got cancelled, the staff were amazing with helping us out. Super friendly atmosphere felt like a home away from home. Shoutout to the kitchen for their delicious menu. The shuttle service they provide is a great way to get around to all the different ski resorts in the area. It's also supper close to tsugaike kogens gondola. Would 100% recommend this place to anyone wanting to make new friends and have a good time.

We stayed for around a week in Jan and have a blast, for skiing the shuttles to and from the resorts really made our trip work for the 9 of us there. Breakfast was good and the evening food options kept everyone happy and well fed. …

Absolutely awesome!I can highly recommend Phat Packers. My self and our group stayed in the bunk rooms. The beds were very comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean. The whole vibe at the hotel is great, everyone who worked there were super friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and fun as possible. The communal area and pool table was a real bonus. The bar and restaurant was great fun and served very tasty meals. The shuttle service was fantastic and very easy to book.Overall an amazing experience and I will definitely try to return in the future. Thank you

Phat Packers was a dream stay!!! First time in Japan and this place has everything you need. The staff were amazing, great fun and couldn’t help enough. Both restaurants on site were superb. If you fancy ramen you can head downstairs or upstairs has loads of options I loved the wings 👌. Whatever resort you wanted to go to in Hakuba valley there was a shuttle provided by phat packers even evening shuttles if you went for a few drinks or the onsen (spa) which we very cheap there ranged from £3-5. Couldnt recommend Phat Packers enough we have already booked for next January. Thank you everyone there for the lovely stay!

Staying at Phat Packers in Tsugaike was a fantastic experience. The location is breathtaking, nestled in the stunning surroundings of the area, with easy access to the slopes for those eager to hit the mountain. The atmosphere at the hostel's bar was delightful, setting a perfect vibe for unwinding after a day of adventure.The service here was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a pleasant stay. Special shout out goes out to several standout team members who made our time very memorable: Brie, Joel, and Riley always ready with a smile and eager to assist in any way they could; and Salice and Alysha, who went the extra mile when transporting us around and who were incredibly warm and friendly throughout our visit always ready for a chat.Overall, staying at this hostel was a highlight of our trip and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay in Tsugaike.

Amazing Hostel!It is far more than just a hostel. The bar restaurant and Ramen restaurant are awesome!Fantastic facilities, that have been really thought out and to top it off the service by the whole team was amazing 👏Thanks so much for making our trip even more memorable.
