What can I say? Unfortunately I can only give it 5 stars.A little paradise within paradise. We had a pool villa - everything was fantastic. Beautiful wooden furniture, small and large works of art as decoration, the large pool is wonderfully overgrown and therefore hidden from view, although you have a wonderful view over the landscape to the sea.The staff is incredibly friendly and at the same time very competent and efficient. It remained a mystery to me until the end how they managed to make our room every day while we were having breakfast.The meal was excellent.The whole area is wonderfully overgrown, there are flowers everywhere, especially the many frangipani trees that seemed to be in full blooming competition, complete explosions of flowers.And it is wonderfully quiet all day long, only the birds in the jungle and the splashing of water can be heard.The only disadvantage: it was so nice that we couldn't bring ourselves to go on the excursions that were offered - we would have had to leave this oasis voluntarily and we didn't want to do that anymore after just a few hours.

We did not stay here but only had lunch in the Restaurant and the ambience, service and food are fantastic. It is pricy but a real treat for the eye and the taste buds. Even Though we usually prefer to eat local food, their mixed culture cuisine inspired by a Danish Master Chef is outstanding, it may have well been the best fries I ever had. That said their dishes are refined and you can really feel the high standards and the enthusiasm of the kitchen crew to detail. They showed us their own herb garden walking down the property. The lunch menu was smaller than the dinner menu, the evening set up seemed to be around the pool and looked beautiful... maybe next time.

We truly felt privileged thanks to his personalized welcome.Our experience was made even more memorable thanks to an unexpected upgrade to **the most beautiful villa naga master ** in the resort, with a private pool and breathtaking views of the entire jungle. A true dream come true! Waking up every morning to this view was simply magical. The villa itself was spacious, perfectly arranged with a blend of modernity and Balinese charm. Amazing place. So beautiful. People are so nice. Sharing their joy. We had an awesome stay. Small room for improvement: we hear the road noise during the night. So sometimes a bit too noisy (happened mainly once out of 4 nights)

3 times already I am going there and each time always surprised with the food quality. I think the food is second to none in the whole Bali. Staying at The Damai for the food alone is worth everything. If you are a foodie and never been to The Damai, you missed a lot ….I love the ‘Crab Bisque’ and the dessert is exceptional. ‘Nasi Goreng – really good’ is good. It is the old Nasi Goreng style which is rarely found all over Indonesia.In the room, it is lovely to find a selection book available on the table. It is rare to find a hotel with selections of booked on their table. A bonfire on sunset with warm glass of anything (literally… anything …) because the bartender knowledge of drinks is exceptional, too.Food and beverages at The Damai are beyond anything around Bali. I recommend this place for culinary journey and book reading time …. Will go back for sure

We would like to give even more stars!The whole facility is rather large and very well maintained. Everything is in a high standard and condition. You feel very private.We “only” had a pool studio. The private pool with the views are amazing. The outdoor shower with bathtub is very well implemented (we have already seen a few outdoor showers). The rooms are very spacious for a couple and it is really very clean. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired: hairdryer, enough towels, daily water, shampoo/shower/conditioner, body lotion,... I have no idea why you should lie at the public pool. All orders for drinks and food are also delivered to private areas.Criticism at a very high level: The lighting creates a great atmosphere, but is a bit too dark in the bathroom.You live in the middle of nature. If you leave the doors open at night and the lights are on, you shouldn't be surprised if animals visit (in relation to an incomprehensibly bad review from another guest).The restaurant is in the public pool area and therefore in a wonderful setting. The map is rather small. There are no vegan/vegetarian dishes listed. However, other dishes can be prepared upon request. The food is beautifully prepared and extremely tasty.This also applies to the breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired.The staff is very friendly and attentive. Here too, attention is paid to many small details. Communication takes place via WhatsApp, among other things.Needs and wishes are implemented immediately. Help is also available in the event of a medical emergency.The manager/owner speaks German, among other things.Like everything else, the SPA area is also great! We enjoyed a couples massage and another treatment each.We would like to stay longer. On your next Bali vacation -> North -> ...and again at The Damai.Thank you very much for your hospitality

Great stay! Recommend 100%. Definitely do the waterfall tour and snorkeling tour. Really great people and great food. Super tranquil up in the hills. Massage at spa was great as well. Would recommend staying here if making trip to Lovina or nearby.

A wonderful hotel, we had a great stay here.The service is great and the location too. With the hotel's own shuttle you can be at the beach in Lovina within 15 minutes free of charge and picked up again from there. You can watch a beautiful sunset from the hotel. The restaurant's prices are expensive by Balinese standards, but the food is also very tasty. The pool is very nice.

I highly recommend this small hotel with only 14 villas for multiple reasons.The villa we occupied was decorated with great taste and attention to detail. Special mention for the ultra-large and very comfortable beds.The restaurant offers very refined cuisine with excellent quality local products. Everything is homemade (bread, croissants, jams, etc.)For lovers of calm and serenity, you will be in a true haven of peace.The staff and managers are extremely kind and do their best to fulfill all your wishes.In short, I highly recommend the Damai.
