Dirtiest hotel I have ever experienced. Including a futon full of mold. Key immediately returned and looked for another accommodation. I strongly advise against this place. Unacceptable that the Kumano Travel organization does business with this accommodation.

I was here for 1 night during my Kumano Kodo hike. The price is reasonable for that area. There is a free onsen within the building, but i was also allowed to use the onsen of the adjacent hotel (a much nicer one) and also their outdoor onsen. My room had a very bad smell but they provided air fresheners to counter this issue. Is ok for 1 night stay esp for the hike.

I'm sorry, but this is the worst accommodation. I was at a loss for words as soon as I entered the room. Nasena: ① The mattress is full of mold. ② The curtains are torn and do not function as curtains. ③ The table provided is broken and cannot be used. ④ The carpet on the floor is full of stains and mold. ⑤ The air conditioner has a cover that cannot be opened. Not only the filter but also the fan and fins are covered in dust, making it scary to turn on the switch. I can't believe they are operating under these conditions. I have been using hotels all over the country for many years, but this was my first experience. I would like to see this comment again if the hotel staff sees it. I hope that improvements will be made so that people who have made reservations to enjoy their leisure time will not be harmed in the future.

Although the hotel is really old, the Yexi Hot Spring and the large bathhouse are very convenient. It adds a lot of points. The breakfast is also quite delicious. The service staff are very friendly and help solve the problem.

In short, cheap but old.If you think you're just sleeping alone, it's a good deal to have unlimited access to the adjacent Midoriya hot springs. The facility as a whole is undeniably old. There is a sense of cleanliness, but there is no sophistication.Air conditioner doesn't work. Probably the gas inside is escaping. A cool breeze blows out, but the room doesn't cool down.If you are looking for the comfort and excitement of traveling, it is better to spend a little more money and choose other accommodations.

I highly recommend this hotel. The location is great, only 2 min walk from the bus station and right beside the river with 2 outdoor spring pools. I love the room as it is traditional and provides you almost everything you need. I will have to thank all the staffs here, as they are very friendly, responsive, and helpful with what you need, and very easy to communicate with. I lost my camera at Hongu Taisha Shrine and got fuss about it and have no clue how to get it back as the public transport at Kawayu Onsen is not that great and I can’t speak Japanese. The staff at the reception especially Yuki helped me with calling all the bus drivers and staffs at the shrine and I managed to get my camera back. I really enjoy my stay there and I would highly recommend this place if you want to have a nice couple of days in the mountains and enjoy your time without worrying about anything.
