Good for a golf trip as it is close to the golf courseThe exterior of the building is hotel-style, and the interior of the room is a tatami room. The smallest room has 10 tatami mats, and the bathroom inside the room has a plastic bathtub. The larger room is 10 tatami mats + 4 tatami mats, separated by sliding doors, and the bathroom inside the room has a hinoki bathtub. The refrigerator inside the room is large enough to fit more than 24 cans of beer.Since the curtains are not blackout, the sunlight seeps in and wakes you up in the morning, but I recommend not sleeping any more and waking up to enjoy the morning hot springs. There are separate large public baths for men and women inside the building, and there is also a semi-open-air bath within the large public baths. If you open the door on the second floor and go outside, you can follow the wooden passage to the open-air bath. There is an open-air men's bath, an open-air women's bath, a private bath, and an outside toilet.I don't know if the large public bath and open-air bath are operated alternately, with one day being the men's bath and the next day being the women's bath.In the case of other hot springs, after the baths close at midnight, men and women are swapped for the morning baths, but Shinshiyo does not seem to operate that way.Since we only stayed at Shinshiyo for one night, it is unclear whether male and female baths will be swapped. There are no clocks in the large public baths or open-air baths, so you have no choice but to check the time on your headphone.Recommended morning open-air bath may vary depending on the season, but it was worth seeing the morning clouds on the mountain.Kaiseki came out delicious.Meals are not set in your room, so you eat at the restaurant on the 3rd floor. Basically, you eat in your private room, but if the lodging is fully booked, you may have to eat in the banquet room.In the case of Agoda or Booking.com, there is only one accommodation plan, but when using Japanese accommodation reservation sites such as Jarannet, you can use a wider variety of meal and accommodation plans. There are two keys in the room key bundle, one is the room key and the other is the key to the safe inside the room.Since there are no shopping malls nearby, you will need to prepare things such as a late-night snack after dinner or alcoholic snacks in advance.I heard that there is paid bottled beer and soft drinks in the refrigerator in the room, and that there is a vending machine inside the building. There was no water in the refrigerator, but during dinner, the staff brought a kettle of ice water when they straightened out the bedding. I can't remember if it was even there when I checked in.There is also hot water in the electric kettle in the room.

The hot springs are clean and clear, and the staff are very friendly :) They provide a shuttle service as long as you get to Amagase Station, so coming and going wasn't that inconvenient! However, the meal was a bit disappointing compared to other ryokans... it didn't suit my taste haha. I think it would be a good idea to buy a lot of snacks.
