This is my second stay at Nakamuraya for two years in a row.Since it is a guesthouse, it does not have the luxury of a hotel, but I think it is a unique inn.Last time and this time, I stayed in a room facing the Shima River. The 8 tatami room is very clean and comfortable with Wi-Fi. However, the restroom will be a shared restroom for men and women.Nakamura-ya has two indoor baths and two open-air baths that can be reserved for private use, and if they are empty, you can use them as many times as you like 24 hours a day. I think it's a great luxury to spend time relaxing in a hot spring with your loved ones without having to worry about other people. Until around 8:30 pm, if you order a drink over the intercom, you will receive a unique service in which it will be delivered to you in a fishing bottle.Meals can be eaten in the cafeteria or for an additional fee, but you can also order meals in your room. The food will be delivered to the entrance of your room and you will arrange it on the table yourself. It's fun to arrange the food in the order you like.Eating with the windows open and listening to the sound of the Shima River is a special experience. Sashimi is basically horse sashimi, but you can change it. I thought it would be nice to have a service where you can choose between rustic horse sashimi or classic sashimi. Whichever you choose, it's absolutely delicious.Grilled rainbow trout. This is a dish with the aroma of charcoal that whets the appetite and goes well with alcohol. In addition, Gunma's local cuisine will fill the table. The rice is freshly cooked in a pot made from delicious rice from Niigata and boiled in Shima water. The amount in the pot is about two and a half bowls.I'm a big eater, but I was pretty full. For sake, I ordered the Daiginjo sake comparison set. Includes 4 types of Gunma's famous and difficult-to-obtain phantom sake (80ml each) and 3 types of sake appetizers. All of these sakes have a strong umami flavor with a ginjo aroma that spreads in your mouth. We are very satisfied with the rooms, hot springs, food, and service, and the accommodation rates are reasonable. Once you stay at Nakamuraya, you'll want to come back again. If you can't decide on an inn in Shima Onsen, we recommend that you choose one.

Thank you for staying with me for 2 nights.I don't drink alcohol, but it's a good place to stayThe open-air bath under the starry sky is also the best. The sound of the river is soothing and you can enjoy a filling meal. I was pleasantly surprised that all the dishes were changed in the morning and evening. The voices from the rooms were loud, but there were many quiet customers so I was able to relax.

There is only one room where you can stay with your dog, but this time I brought my dog there for several nights. This is an irresistible inn for alcohol lovers, where if you order a drink while soaking in the hot springs of Shima Onsen, it will come pouring down from above.Since this is a guest house owned by a liquor store, you cannot choose the type of alcohol you want. There is an indoor bath and an outdoor bath, and the barrel bath in the back is spacious and has a feeling of openness, but there is no roof when it rains. The indoor bath in the front is the same as the back bath, but the outdoor bath is a cypress bath with a slightly covered roof, so it's easy to enter even when it rains. Both are free-flowing.The room is large enough for two people to stay in, and there is a bath where you can store hot water outside. It takes a lot of effort to save up money, but I took the opportunity to use this bath as well. The food was so delicious that I couldn't finish it all, using local ingredients. The horse sashimi is especially delicious.Although we were staying for several nights, we had completely different dishes prepared for us each morning and night.I've stayed at many different hotels over a period of time, but I've never had a pattern where I was served completely different dishes, so I was very grateful. We recommend the evening sake comparison set.If you find something you like, you can order more or buy it as a souvenir, and the very kind proprietress will make you feel at ease.I took it easy for 2 days.I look forward to hearing from you again.

What's good about it is that the food here is really delicious! I went there a few years ago, so I don't remember much about it, but what remains in my head is that the food was delicious. The horse sashimi was so sweet that it melted in your mouth.

[About the parking lot] → As you pass the inn on your right, there is a road that goes down to the riverbank on your right. The riverbed there is a paved public parking lot, so please use that. The kind landlady helped me in many ways. Apparently you can drink alcohol in the open-air bath. This time I was just drinking in the room, so I didn't use it. This might be a great place to stay for drinks! The food was delicious, and the toilets are shared, but very clean. It would have been nice if the outdoor area had been cleaned a little more.
