⭕ Nice & welcoming staff2月10日〜12日:Both 日本語 & English are available depending on the staff at the reception. Everything is clean and organised. The lavatory and shower areas are spacious. There is also a lounge with a fridge where anyone can eat.One of my friends had to stay somewhere after an accident at the nearby ski resort, and we were thankful for the quick response, smooth check-in and everything.Thanks so much.. I will definitely come back on my next trip to 新潟県. 🙏😊🍀🕊️

10 minute walk from the station, facilities are well equipped and clean. Lots of space, common area etc, and the staff is lovely :)

Simple and clean. You can walk from Matsushiro Station. All the staff welcome you very warmly. I found a good place.It was said to have been a dormitory for junior high school children who were unable to commute from home during the snowy winter. How lonely he must have felt being away from his parents.The open structure and beautifully renovated facilities are reasonably priced and I thought it would be easy to use for both solo travelers and families.Above all, I'm most happy to be able to enjoy breakfast made by local mothers. The miso soup, vegetables, and of course the rice were delicious, and the warm atmosphere of the dining room was very nice.It is recommended because you can enjoy the nostalgic feeling of being at a training camp.

I visited for lunch on Saturdays and Sundays. It was a healthy lunch made with plenty of local vegetables. I forgot to take a photo of the food before eating and ended up eating it!You can also walk in, but it's best to make a reservation by phone.Apparently it is open for lunch during the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale.

Meals are natural and healthyIt was a Japanese-style room, but the futon was fluffy.People who care about service may not like it.You can stay quietly and comfortably.You draw the futon sheets yourself, and the prices are reasonable.Even 8m class campers can be parked here.Climb past the school.Google Maps won't take you to the end.Don't be fooled

Stayed overnight after skiing.The food vending machine was broken and no items came out even after I put money in it, so when I told the staff about this, they went out of their way to bring it to my room even though it was late at night.The price was set at a low price and I felt it was a wonderful accommodation.

In conclusion, I think it's good considering the price. However, there are some caveats.・About the buildingThe building that looks like a club room building that is located at the top of the mountain after passing through the abandoned school building will become an accommodation facility. There are schools that have been converted into lodging facilities all over the country, but this was my first time so I was a little confused. The building didn't feel old.・About the roomThis one also didn't feel old and was hygienic. The room wasn't large, but since I was alone, it didn't feel small. Up to 4 people can stay in one room, but it might be a little cramped for 4 people. It's probably close to the student dormitory. I don't know. (I have never lived in a dormitory)Please note that it is basically self-service, so you will have to make your own bed. The walls were thin, and the voices of the people in the next room were very loud.・About other equipmentAs is typical of a school, there was running water, so I brushed my teeth there. It's not in the room.I don't know because there are no bathing facilities. I took a bath at the nearby Matsudai Shiba Pass Onsen Unkai. Is there a shower?·othersThere may be no one at reception. Check-in should be exactly at the specified time. Maybe it's because they have a small group of people, but when I went there 15 minutes ago, there was no one at the reception desk, so I had to wait. It doesn't seem like a normal accommodation facility.There are few places to eat, so make sure to plan your meals carefully. There's a convenience store nearby, so that's the worst option. I went to eat in downtown Tokamachi. By the way, the restaurant at the nearby roadside station doesn't seem to be open in winter.

I heard that the place used to be a junior high school winter dormitory, but I had researched in advance that it didn't have any amenities.It was like that. Matsunoyama, so maybe a hot spring? That's what I thought, but it seems like you have to declare your time for the bath, so I ended up taking a shower. It's hot and humid everywhere except the bedroom...One night was enough.
