Great for backpackers. I booked through email and also in this way the owner was very responsive during my stay. It is very comfortable, with a common area, kitchen, livingroom, bathhrooms and toilet. Very clean. The female dorm is not too small, and there is an AC so you can heat inside the room. The hostel owner speaks very good English and is a Coastal Trail guide, so he gave me great recommendations- where and how to walk, to rent a bear bell. Miyako is so a great local town, with a beautiful beach and very good restaurants. Very nice people

■ Stylish guest house■ There are many restaurants nearby■ There is a desk where you can do desk work. This is a stylish guesthouse that has been renovated from a shop. About a 5-minute walk from Miyako Station, the surrounding area is an old-fashioned shopping street, but there are also many new shops with a stylish atmosphere. There are old town Chinese restaurants, yakiniku restaurant Gyu-Kaku and sushi restaurants nearby, and a 7-11 about 100 meters away. There is a local supermarket, Tamakiya, about a 10 minute walk away. The owner of the inn was a very kind person and explained the inn in detail. There is a desk with an outlet on the first floor, so you can work at your desk. The shared kitchen has a microwave, toaster, and refrigerator. It is very clean and comfortable to use.Unfortunately, there was no small stand in the shower booth to put glasses etc. There was no cup in the bathroom, which was inconvenient when brushing teeth. I thought it would be good to have paper cups. Also, there is no safety deposit box, so please be careful with your valuables.

I often stay at guesthouses because I like being able to get a glimpse of the thoughts and tastes of the owners and the people involved. Also, the impression of a guesthouse varies greatly depending on who stays at the same time.As for what happened this time...The staff recommended us a great choice for dinner! This time, I stayed in a private room next to the common space, and a man and a woman were talking in the common space until after 4am.The information booklet I received from the inn quietly said "Please be quiet after 11pm," but some guests didn't seem to mind.I would like to see a notice posted in a conspicuous place in the shared space, such as ``no talking after 11pm'', or to clearly inform guests when staying the night. The kitchen was fully equipped and had a nice-looking rice cooker, so I thought I could make a really fulfilling breakfast by cooking rice there and buying sea urchin and other seafood from the market.Overall, it was a good guesthouse. This time, I stayed at the same time as a guest who was in trouble, so I couldn't get a cheap deal.
