I listen to it every year. The spring quality is simple alkaline sulfur spring, which is soft and has a faint sulfur scent. The landlady is very kind and attentive, and leaves me alone for more than I need (lol). You can relax slowly. The food is simple and delicious with soft flavors.I've eaten grilled amago in many different places, and the skin is crispy and the flesh is plump, which is the best.

The food and hot springs were both great. There were two of us from Chiba Prefecture and Nagoya, and it was a place we would like to visit even more. Amago bone wine has a bit of a smell, so it would be best if you made it with char.

This is a hot spring inn that still maintains the style of the good old days of the Showa era. It is a sulfur spring that flows directly from the source at approximately 60℃. When I stayed in December, there was no need to add water for cooling, and the water was flowing straight from the source. The open-air bath where you can soak while looking at the Yuizumi River flowing below and the majestic mountain range on the opposite bank is the best. The temperature of the water is lower away from the sprue, so you can enjoy the water as it gradually heats up as you enter the water from there. You can take a bath 24 hours a day. I also enjoyed the open-air bath while admiring the moon. The winter dish is said to be botan nabe, but since I don't like it, I asked for a fish nabe instead. It is delicious with the aroma of mushrooms grown in Totsukawa. I received a special order of Amago Bone Sake, which was also delicious. It is a mellow and fragrant sake that is different from pufferfish fin sake. The Nishiyoshino fried tofu sandwiched with green onions and lightly grilled is also delicious. It goes well with alcohol. We also had the Nanki Kumano specialty called Sanma Sushi. The telephone in the room is a rotary dial type, and reservations can only be made by phone, giving it a Showa-era feel, but that's what makes it so nice. Recommended for those who want to know and feel the Showa era, and those who want to experience a traditional Japanese inn. There is free wifi (with security protection). There is no problem with the internet environment. The smartphone signal is a little weak.

I went there for 2 days and 1 night with my Australian husband who wanted to go to Totsukawa Onsen. This was my first experience at The Japan Onsen Inn, and I really liked it, even though there were a lot of customs that I wasn't used to, such as futons and communal bathrooms. It might have been a little difficult, but I was able to get another one prepared for her and she seemed to be able to sleep well, which is great. We were lucky that on this day, there were no other guests coming to our private inn.It was a very luxurious stay. There are four free flowing hot springs inside the inn: an open-air bath, a men's bath, a women's bath, and a family bath, and a total of five wonderful open-air baths outside the inn.You can enter the inn as much as you like 24 hours a day, and the outdoor bath is open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.Since the water is fed directly from the source, the temperature is 60 degrees, which is about as hot as a comedian's punishment game.Until you get used to it, if you mix it with cold water (we use mountain spring water), your body will gradually get used to it and it will feel good.It is a truly luxurious hot spring that smells of sulfur and leaves you so smooth that you can soak your whole body in lotion. The inn has a very nostalgic atmosphere that makes you feel like you're back at your grandma's house. The rooms are well-cleaned, giving you a feel of good old Japan, and the restrooms are made of cedar wood. I don't know what kind it is, but it smells like wood and makes me feel new.The meals were local cuisine, including local vegetables, river fish such as sweetfish, amago, wild game venison yukhoe, and wild boar, which was a first for me.Boiled amago cooked in hot springs, hot spring eggs, hot spring boiled tofu, and even the inside of your stomach, there is no doubt that the hot spring intestinal activity will make you healthy. Both dinner and breakfast were delicious and great. The hostess of the inn only appears during check-in, check-out, and other than meals. This is also interesting, but when I have something to do, I dial number 9 on my old telephone to make a call.I think this is a consideration of wanting guests to enjoy a private space without showing themselves.Although I only stayed for one night, I was able to have a wonderful stay thanks to the wonderful and caring hostess at this inn, which has a worldview similar to Spirited Away.I would also like to visit you in a different season.
