Easily my favorite hostel I have ever stayed at. The room was incredibly clean, the space felt very safe, and the owner/ workers were very nice. It was the most peaceful hostel I have ever stayed at, which means it isn't a social one, but it is perfect for introverts or people who would like a quiet space. I hope this place keeps up the good work. I would highly recommend this place for solo female travelers.

Lovely clean room for a great price. The shared bathroom was always clean and available.
The staff were very accommodating and helped us book tickets for Grand Canyon and rent motorbikes. One of the best hostels we have stayed in on our trip!

Loved our stay at Chang Chang hostel!The staff were lovely and made us feel at home. They were very caring and will help you in any way you need, they were very friendly. Definitely ask them for recommendations on places to visit, if you need some help.Bathroom facilities felt really clean, and we did see them cleaning them every morning. There is a common room (with a/c), which has a nice view of outside, and has Netflix & YouTube on the TV. Our room had a/c as well. There is also a washing machine and drier, which was super useful :). Overall the place felt very secure.Location is great, places to eat all around & a 7/11 across the road.Highly recommend this hostel if you are staying in Chiang Mai!

I really enjoyed my weekend in Chiang Mai due to the super courteous hosts. You’ll have everything you need, the Infrastructure doesn’t lack on anything. The dorms are climated perfect for you to sleep soundly.I stayed during Songkran & they make you feel at home it’s beautiful honestly.Perfect Experience!

February 10 - February 13, 24Very good location, in the old town, near Chang Phueak gate, right on the main road so easy to catch buses, Songthew, Grab cars as well as convenient for picking up tourist cars when you book tours departing from Changmai. Across the street is the bus stationSongthew (to Doi Suthep costs 180 THB round trip, or to other tourist destinations within 30 km). Next to the bus station is the night food area with many night eateries and countless options for diners.Spacious stairs, airy and spacious rooms, spacious windows, spacious hallways, spacious restrooms, all create a comfortable and pleasant feeling.Very reasonable price (250 THB/1 bed)Check-in is at 1 pm, and weekdays are quite empty so you may be able to check in from the morning.The common living area on the 2nd floor has a beautiful view of the street.Minus point: Because there is no elevator (all hostels in Chiang Mai do not have elevators), if you are on the 4th floor, climbing the stairs is a bit tiring. It seems that the Hostel prioritizes placing guests on the lower floors so they don't have to climb high, so the 4th floor on weekdays is quite empty (the 6-bed room on the 4th floor usually only has 1 to 3 people staying, sometimes the whole floor only has 2 guests).The toilet area on the 4th floor is not very clean, has a bad smell, there are mosquitoes in the hallway and toilet area, sometimes there are mosquitoes in the room.Room design is simple, no curtains, no bed made daily (not important). Cleaning is neither too clean nor too dirty, reaching 7/10The location of the air conditioner was not properly installed, leading to the 2 opposite beds being exposed to very cold direct air, while the other beds were not cold enough.Reception hours: 8:30 am to 7:30 pmThe pillow is too hard and too high, unusableNo refrigerator (not important)

This hostel was great! It was the best shower I’ve had while traveling and the most comfortable beds, sheets, etc. the staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Super walkable.

It was my first time sleeping in a hostel because I saw it in the moat. Convenient for traveling in the city I've found many places because they focus on cleanliness. I really like them. Especially the bathroom, bedroom, pillows and blankets (very soft). Clean, comfortable to sleep. Walking to find something to eat is also easy. It was considered an impressive hostel stay. I will recommend it.

This is a cost-effective hostel on the upper side of the old town. There was a parking space, the room had good air conditioning, and the bathroom shower was clean. The dryer was nice because it had a cold air function and the intensity was adjustable. Perhaps because the water quality in Chiang Mai is so bad, even good hotels have shower filters that turn black, but here they turn slightly yellow (the same was true for 4-star hotels), so the water quality seems to be good. The staff were friendly and the Thai people had good manners, so I was able to rest quietly in my room. I think there were a lot of Thai people and a few Europeans. There are a lot of cars in front of the hostel, but there is a crosswalk traffic light, so it's good to go to the night market across the street. What was a bit disappointing was that the 220 volt connection wasn't working well, so I had to install a 110 volt adapter.
