A long-established inn in Agematsu, a post town in Kiso. Conveniently located 1-2 minutes walk from Agematsu Station. It takes a few minutes to reach the old post station, and it takes about 25 minutes on foot to reach the scenic spot Neza-no-toko (varies from person to person. There is also a bus from the station to Neza-no-toko.).It seems that the family is running the business, but the hotel is well-maintained, the food is well-maintained, and the hospitality is very good. The attached photos are of the scenery that caught my eye during dinner, breakfast, and on the way to Neza no Toba. The food was carefully seasoned, carefully seasoned, and very delicious.I used it for the night before climbing Mt. Kisokomagatake, and it was a convenient taxi ride to the trailhead of Agematsu A course, about 3,000 yen (as of 2024. Reservations recommended).

Although we arrived late, they welcomed us with hot food. The meal was very satisfying in both taste and nutrition, with river fish as the base, steamed egg custard, and meat dishes. The inside of the hotel was kept very clean, and the mirrors in the bathroom seemed to have been polished before we entered, so we could feel that they cared deeply for us. The young proprietress was also very friendly, and I felt like I was back at home.Best of all, the location is good, as it's right in front of the station, so it's easy to get around, and you can walk a short distance to Nakasendo, so even though it was Obon, I was able to enjoy a walk along the historic road. When you think of areas along the Chuo Main Line, the Nakatsugawa, Kiso-Fukushima, and Narai areas are probably the best options, but if you want to go sightseeing during the day and have a quiet time away from the hustle and bustle at night, this is the best choice. Recommended.

It has been operated as an inn since the Edo period for generations. The hospitality of the large proprietress and the young proprietress is very nice.He was also very knowledgeable about the history of Agematsu-juku, and taught us things that are not found in travel magazines or the internet. There are two storehouses inside the inn, and you can feel the history of the building itself.I stayed there during the cold mornings and evenings, but they had a hot air heater installed, so I was able to stay comfortably. It is also a cultural heritage building, and there are many valuable decorations inside the building that cannot be seen today. There are also colored papers of famous stars and calligraphy of historical figures. The dishes were also quite elaborate, and I felt that they valued the Japanese spirit that has been passed down from generation to generation.

I decided on my travel dates just before Golden Week, and since I was traveling alone, some inns wouldn't accommodate me, so I happened to find a room available on Rakuten Travel and made a reservation.Since it was a bicycle trip, the area I could travel was limited, so I didn't have many other options, but that turned out to be a good thing.Since the landlady and I are working together on the other hand, the futon is laid out first, and all meals are lined up before being called. Those who are expecting the kind of service you would find at a tourist inn in a hot spring area may not be satisfied. However, the food is freshly prepared, hot, has a large selection, and most of all, it's delicious. I received everything without leaving anything behind. The atmosphere of the inn is also nice. It's true that the building is old, but you can see that it is being used with care. Cleaning is also thorough. If you like retro things, please stay here.Kiso-Fukushima is just a little further on, so if I had planned my trip earlier, I probably wouldn't have chosen it because of the location, but I think the inn I ended up staying at by chance was wonderful and I have fond memories of my trip. It also deepens.

During my trip around Nakasendo, I contacted the tourist information center in front of the station around 4pm, and was able to stay at this inn.I stayed the night because I was exhausted from walking from Narai to Agematsu with my luggage on my back. However, the accommodation was a hit.The fluffy futon and the scent of tatami mats will soothe your tired body. The inn has been running an inn for a long time and is located in a rural area, so some parts of the building are a bit old, but the proprietress and other people who appeared to be part-time workers were very friendly and had a pleasant customer service attitude. In addition, the dinner and breakfast were luxurious and the food was delicious enough that I was able to walk as hard as I could from the next morning. It was a very good inn.
