We stayed at Sammy's Canggu for 5 nights and we were incredibly satisfied. The rooms are comfortable, spotless, and new. The location is amazing; you can reach everywhere without needing a taxi. The beaches and markets are within a 5-10 minute walking distance. The owner is truly a warm and sweet woman. Highly recommended!

Great little boutique hotel! We had booked Aston Canggu but after one night of no sleep due to noisy of music from Old mans and Motel Mexicola and then at 1am the constant beeping of bikes and yelling and screaming until 2am! Thankfully they refunding our further two nights and we found Sammy’s! The owner Barbara is lovely, very helpful indeed. The hotel is very modern, clean and quiet and I thought very reasonably priced. We had a room that opened to the pool which we pretty much had to ourselves and it’s a lovely pool. Great location close to restaurants. I rented a scooter from the hotel. Would highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay! Linda and Jodie.

Stay away from this place.The owner is a scammer. She asked money upfront but when I decided that I needed to move out earlier - she refused to pay the deposit back.Also she’s always on the first floor smoking and drinking. She needs to stay away from the hotel and the guests and let the stuff run it …Also it’s way over priced !!!!

A fantastic location just in the heart of canngu. Staff are lovely - I left some rings that I had purchased in Bali. They posted them out to me and just arrived. Very kind thank you so much!

We were poorly received by the owner. As soon as we arrive, she aggressively asks us on which site we booked our stay because according to her, children are not welcome.After checking, this is not mentioned anywhere on the reservation sites (agoda, booking etc.).The staff is very friendly.

We stayed in 2 accommodations in Canggu and Sammy’s was clearly the better choice. Even though it is in the middle it was very, very quiet and comfortable. Comfortable bed, everything clean and everyone friendly.Our long sliding door was not flush at the top edge and there was a gap of several inches. As a result, we always had a lot of mosquitoes in the room and no mosquito net over the bed. It was a bit of a shame that visitors received pool towels from other hotel guests and then there were no more for two days. The many power outages were sometimes a bit stupid because then of course there was no more water.Despite the little things, it's a great place to stay and we would probably come back. :)

The room is simple but very nice. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the openings in the sliding doors and in the bathroom. I found a small lizard in the bathroom, which didn't bother me, but it was something that could be improved, especially with the many mosquitoes. The location is great, you can quickly get to various coffee shops or on the beach. What bothered me the most was that external visitors always visited people who had a room there. They arrived sweaty and jumped straight into the pool. There was also smoking in the pool afterwards. One day we wanted to get pool towels, but unfortunately there were no more available. No wonder when two external people come every day and use the bath towels that are intended for hotel guests. What bothered me externally was that external towels were provided and that there were none for the guests. I find that a disgrace. Otherwise it was very clean and the staff was friendly. But I wouldn't go there again because the external guests bothered me and nothing was done. I didn't say anything because it's not my job to report it, the staff should notice this themselves and not give out any wipes.

We had the maisonette apartment. That was great. There is a water dispenser in the room. In addition, the room was cleaned daily. The patio door could be opened completely. The equipment is very high quality. We also liked the pool. The apt is very well located. In a few minutes you can be on the beach and in many bars. The part is one of the best in Canggu. You can walk for miles on the beach and the sunsets are some of the best anywhere.

Lived here for a month and loved it. Superb staff (I really mean it especially housekeeping and maintenance),great management, friendly people, awesome location, and nice pool. Rooms are new with a comfortable fit out as long as you can handle the stairs. Bathroom was roomy with a big shower and great water pressure. Location is pretty special, you can walk in a few min to the beach and all the restaurants and nightlife around Batu Balong. We'll definately be back next year!

If/when I come back to Canggu I’ll be staying here. 10 stars.The manager, owner and ALL the staff are so wonderful and kind.The rooms are beautifully designed, they’re clean, and the bed is comfier than mine at home.The location is perfect- super close to everything but also tucked away from noise.Probably the most notable thing though is when I returned from staying in Ubud I had to Book a different hotel (availability) and it was awful. My flight back to Aus wasn’t until late at night. So I contacted Sammy’s to ask if I could just keep my bags at their villa, use the pool, wifi and showers until my pick up.Not only did they say yes but didn’t charge me for it (which I offered of course). I’ll definitely be staying here again next time I’m in Bali. Can’t recommend it enough!

I stayed here for nearly two weeks and while the location is nice and interior design is pleasant, the owner and her customer service are absolutely atrocious! Two nights in a row, guests next door made things unbearable. The first night they stayed up partying with music blasting from 9pm until 9am, making sleep nearly impossible as the walls are extremely thin. The following night, we were awoken at 4am to loud noises that we quickly realized was the sound of the bed slamming against the wall, skin slapping against skin and a woman audibly moaning for the following several hours. Ew. When we contacted the manager, he was apologetic and said that he would inform the owner. The rather pathetic result was her knocking on our door the next day to say nothing more than, “Well, that’s Bali.” As there were still several nights left in this trip, we politely asked to be moved to a different room, but one wasn’t available for another three days, so we begrudgingly stayed. Simultaneously, we had inquired about some kind of reasonable compensation for these 48 hours of hell, but were informed that we “didn’t provide any evidence” and thus there was nothing they would do. Moral of the story— Don’t waste your money here or support this wretched business owner when she doesn’t care whatsoever about satisfaction of guests. There are plenty of other places in Canggu that are unquestionably more worth it.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the staff and owner are friendly and helpful. The rooms are nicely designed and had everything we needed. There was some construction around the area during the time we lived there. A bit noisy at times but was fine in the end :) location is great, no traffic and close to beach.

The best apartments we lived in in Bali. Clean, comfortable, everything is new. I would especially like to highlight the hotel staff and hostess Barbara. Everything is very warm and welcoming! I recommend!
