It's been 10 years since I stayed at KKR in Atami on the recommendation of a friend. …

I stayed here for one night on a business trip. The room was at a fairly satisfactory level, but I felt like it wasn't cleaned properly. Breakfast was prepared on the table, but unfortunately it felt like a cheap assortment pack, so you shouldn't expect much. It wasn't worth the price. Also, when a colleague who lived in a different room took a bath at night, he left his key at the front desk, but when he got out of the bath, the shutters at the front desk were closed and it was pitch black, so there were times when he couldn't answer his phone. When I called the emergency contact number listed at the front counter, there was no response, and it took about 15 minutes before I finally answered the phone.

The hotel rooms and facilities were very clean and I felt comfortable. This time I looked for a hotel with a non-smoking room and stayed there, and it was very nice. As for the hot springs, the open-air bath is probably enough for about 4 people to stretch their legs, but the indoor bath is spacious, so I was able to soak in it comfortably. It was nice that guests could enter at any time, even late at night. There doesn't seem to be any air conditioning in the summer, so some people might find it a bit harsh on hot days, but I would definitely stay here again and relax in the hot springs.

The room was clean and I was able to relax in the nice smell of the tatami mats. The PH value of the bath is quite low, and the hot water is typical of Kawayu.

I used it for a day trip bath.It is available from 13:00 and costs 700 yen for adults. There are 1 indoor bath and 1 outdoor bath, shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. The water is just right, neither too hot nor too lukewarm, so you can enjoy the river bath slowly.

I stayed here without meals in the middle of the Obon holiday. The hot springs at Kawayu are highly acidic, and the hotels here also have excellent hot springs. Even though Mt. Sulfur is close, the sulfur odor (hydrogen sulfide odor) did not linger on my body. There is a hot spring source next to the public bath, and the excess hot water flows into a river. There is one simple indoor bath and one open-air bath, and since it is located in a hot spring town, there is no view.Although there were many cars and motorcycles parked there, the public bath was empty. The inside of the hotel was so quiet that I wondered if it was really full. The room is a simple Japanese style room. It's hot in Hokkaido, so I felt a pain without an air conditioner. It gets cool at night, so it was okay to open the window. The only negative was that the storage space on the top shelf of the sink was full of dust.Unfortunately, the public bath is open until 9:00 on the day of check-out. I wanted to stay in until the very last minute. There are several convenience stores (Seico Mart) and pubs within walking distance.
