Railay Great View Resort & Spa

Highly recommended, heavenly. I have been to this hotel twice now and it still seems magical to me. Sleeping in the middle of the jungle is a luxury. You have to walk to go to the famous beach, but it is worth it to be able to rest in such a place. The quality it offers for the price is a very good option.

Highly recommended! Especially the hotel service. The two girls at the reception are super attentive, polite and professional.Perhaps the worst thing is its access but really if you want to spend the night on Railay Beach it is to be isolated and disconnect.It is an idyllic place!

The place met our expectations for the beautiful view from the room (Deluxe with a view), but it certainly did not exceed them. This is where the positive points end. The rest is a drama that brings the rating from 4 to 1 star! It is located about 15-20 minutes walk from the east railay pier (less beautiful side with less beautiful places. The route is almost 1km with about 500 m of little road dimly lit in the evening directly on the sea, which if it is rough is in able to wash you! Along the way plenty of rubbish and ruins of old dilapidated bars and construction debris Truly a terrible sight for the eyes and also unpleasant to pass given the tortuous path that you have to take in the middle of this decadent and very ugly place to look at. But this is nothing compared to the incorrectness of the management. We book on agoda with the indication of the hotel which has boat transfers included. Otherwise it's 700thb just for the boat for up to 6 people. Having found a taxi at 250thb I take the taxi and ask the hotel for the boat only. Once at the port there are a lot of boats at 100thb per person (3 of us would have spent it 300 thb), but they had already screwed us! The appointment is for 8:30 until 9:00 no one arrives until I contact the hotel asking where the transfer was. When we arrived we pointed this out and were told that it was free only at certain specific times, otherwise we had to pay for it. Obviously all this was not written in his agoda.   Who is obviously repeated several times that it says on the sign but this sign is in the hotel and if we hadn't arrived yet we couldn't have known it. In the following days stupidly and we discover that we were not the only ones who had been scammed in this way! Upon returning we spend a whopping 500 thb to return to the airport! Instead of the 1500 asked by the hotel!However, the scam doesn't end there because at check-out we are asked to pay for a stained foot mat (the one in front of the shower, which also always floods the bathroom)! I attach the photos to show that they are simply sand marks that evidently remained on the mat when we entered the shower to wash. They asked me for 150 thb saying it was unrecoverable, at this point feeling clearly scammed I asked to have the mat. I took it away to the next hotel where I hand washed it with some hand soap and it came out pretty much clean as you can see from the photos. As soon as I get home I will wash it in the washing machine with a very simple stain remover and I will add further photos to demonstrate how much you should stay away from this place!  In the SPA there was only one closed massage center! The road to reach the bangalood climbs through the woods full of mosquitoes and requires a lot of exercise!However, I can say that the breakfast is good and plentiful. Final opinion, however, terrible if we consider that I spent 85 euros per night: this type of treatment is unacceptable for a hotel of this level also considering the fact that in all the places I have been I have been treated much better and I have spent less. If I think that in Raylai I managed to spend 80 euros in a real 4 star hotel, not this one which has four on the queue but which Google unmasks as three stars! The absurd thing is that the air conditioning didn't even work well!! Even the air conditioner leaked water and didn't have the slats that direct the air jet!! Old and beat up!I really regret not having read the reviews on Google and TripAdvisor before!SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED!!!Be careful!!!!Merciless judgment! Worst place in Thailand, place where the hospitality is otherwise exceptional!!
