This was my first time using a guesthouse. There were four of us in the men's room. The people who were visible from France were also there, and it was fun getting to know everyone ☺️Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and we had lots of fun talking while sitting together!Even though it was September, the temperature suddenly dropped,The hot spring water in the bath relieved my fatigue. The owner was very friendly and made me want to come back again!

I used it for touring. This is my third repeat visit. Prices are reasonable. You can use the bath as much as you like 24 hours a day. There are only two washing areas, so you need to check the timing before entering. The rice is very delicious and the quantity is just right. Cats are cute ♡ As of 2024, she will be around 2 or 3 years old, so we played in the cat play area at the inn. A video guide will provide information about Lake Kussharo during dinner. It's great that it has English subtitles. For security reasons, I would like a safe for valuables to be installed in the room. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

I don't know how the other rooms were, but the one I got was a 4-mattress shared room, and I didn't like it. So I decided to look for another hotel with an individual room nearby.I guess it is cheap and good for young guys; not bad, just not my cup of tea.To the manager: Thanks for the check-in process, but I decided not to stay at your facility.

This was the worst place to stay so I couldn't sleep. I visited in the summer and there was no air conditioning and although it was cool outside, the room was so hot that I couldn't sleep because there was no ventilation. Another big problem is that there are too many bugs. People who are afraid of bugs cannot sleep because bugs drip from the ceiling and keep crawling up onto the bed from below. Definitely not recommended in summer.

The food and rooms are good for the price, but what about the welcome you receive when you arrive? …

The rice is just delicious. Lots of origami books. I can feel the owner's dexterity and commitment.I was moved by the beauty of the origami flowers that the owner folded for the children. I learned the depth of origami as an art form.As of late July, the Sea of Clouds Tour (separate fee) meets at 3:30 in the morning. The sunrise over the sea of clouds at Lake Kussharo is a spectacular sight. It was worth getting up early. In the morning, they offer a bread buffet (extra charge), which is also delicious.Since it's a youth hostel, it's recommended for people who don't mind interacting with fellow travelers.

Since I can stay there for a cheap price, I will stay for about 1W.It is very convenient for sightseeing around Lake Kussharo and its surroundings. I use it for fishing at Lake Kussharo and Lake Akan in June and October.
