Great experience staying here. They have their own Onsen bath in the bottom floor. Dinner is 4000¥ and you get a lot. Rooms come with yukata for bathing and plenty of warm blankets. The owners are really lovely and the couple helping out this season were fantastic.

This lodge is very cosy, it was very comfortable and clean. Think country cottage style. The pillows and low beds, were very comfortable and the Onsen although shared (seperate) for men and women was always empty when I used it. …

We spent 6 nights at Ginrei and loved it. We had two rooms, one for our 3 kids (10, 11 and 13) and one for the adults.  …

We had a week in Family House Ginrei, and couldn’t have asked for more. The rooms were big - they gave us 2 on the top from so had the bathroom for ourselves, and the breakfast was great. Bath awesome

I stayed there about ten years ago, and there were many homemade dried flowers at the door. Small Japanese style room, clean and simple. The boss is very funny, and the landlady is very ingenious. She will put effort into changing the style of each meal. I remember one day that the chopstick holder for dinner was dried chili peppers that they dried themselves. It felt like a very loving family. Thank you, I sprained my ankle while skiing and took me to the village for acupuncture and massage.

We had a great stay at Family House Ginrei in Nozawa Onsen with our two kids (11 and 6). Mostly Japanese and Ozzies here. They have an onsen and it is very clean. Breakfast is very Japanese. Lovely authentic place. …

I used it for skiing purposes. It was convenient, just a few minutes walk from the ski slopes, and a few minutes walk from the city center where souvenir shops are lined up.Both the room and the building were clean, and it was nice that you could choose jinbei as well as a yukata for your loungewear. All the guests had their meals at the cafeteria at the designated time, and there was a wide selection of food so we were full. The bath is small, and the changing and washing areas can accommodate about 4 people, but I happened to be able to enjoy a relaxing soak in the hot spring without having to run into other guests.
