I don’t know what people are complaining about here. Sure it might be bit pricy but you’re in Gion in an authentic house with tatami mats. What else do you want?I had a great time staying there.

I never leave comments...So disappointing, we arrived with absolutely no one to greet us, no one to answer the phone…The room had absolutely nothing to do with the announcement on booking…No light, “patio” pad, paper walls next to two washing machines, bathroom in the shared kitchen…And what's more, they don't want to reimburse us!At this price you will find so much better in Kyoto!

It made me laugh that all the emails they sent me were in English.

The location takes a while to be located though it is near to all the attractions. The instructions to locate the pin number to the lock is not clearly provided before check-in. …

The room in the house is slightly smaller, but the overall vision is very comfortable. The scent of wood is very comfortable. There is no noise nearby at night. The transportation location is excellent. It takes about 5-10 minutes to Kawaramachi Station and 1 minute to Yasaka Shrine. There are also kimonos for rent next to the same alley. It is also a short walk to Kiyomizudera Temple. Not far. The only thing is that the public space is a little cold in winter because it is made of wood, but the room heating is very strong👍🏽

Great location, fully equipped with cooking utensils, and you can even brew your own drip coffee. If you have a choice, I recommend staying on the second or third floor. The first floor feels a little closer to other customers.
