We were here in 2023 and the child in particular found the room fantastic.Service was super nice.We were able to experience a lot from there. Nature was beautiful.

We have now been guests here for 4 days with a hiking group of 20 people. Everyone liked it very much. The location was an ideal starting point for our hikes. All rooms are very nice and always clean. The breakfast/dinner was excellent. Service and the owners are always very friendly. We had a great time and would happily recommend the hotel 👍👍👍

We ate here during our company outing and had pre-ordered. Everything went smoothly and brilliantly. Contact by email and telephone, we were allowed to change the group card. We arrived, everyone had their drink on the table, and then the food was served. And that was so delicious... I would give it 10 out of 10. I will definitely come back to eat here when I visit the wildlife park again.

Very nice people. Rooms of various sizes. Very child friendly!When we arrived, we quickly removed one or two cobwebs ourselves. The small but nice bathroom was clean and everything you needed was there.The breakfast is varied and more than sufficient.The restaurant is absolutely recommended!The chocolate cake is our personal recommendation - you should definitely try it!Although every dish is really incredibly tasty and the portions are also super good.All in all, we felt very comfortable and would love to come back - at least for the chocolate cake!

We had reserved for a large group (25 people).Unfortunately, some people weren't impressed with the first impression. No greeting when we arrived, we were just assigned a table.Orders were taken at the table quite quickly and drinks came quickly. The warm food didn't take long to arrive, but I find it pretty outrageous to give the littlest children their little currywurst LAST and they kept asking with tears in their eyes where their food was. That's not possible in my opinion! But all the dishes were very tasty.After we paid for lunch and spent a while on the playground and terrace, we wanted to order coffee and cake. It didn't happen quickly enough and everyone had to pay IMMEDIATELY, which caused quite a bit of unrest with such a large group and many self-payers and there wasn't much left of drinking coffee together. Even so, you simply had the feeling that you weren't really wanted as a guest. Too bad.We'll definitely come back with a small group. But not as a large group.

After visiting the wildlife park, we spontaneously stopped by the Dornröschenhöh in the afternoon for an ice cream and a cool drink.We were served quickly and friendly. The ice cream tasted great and everything was at a reasonable price. Apparently there are still warm dishes in the afternoon. The schnitzels etc. eaten at the neighboring tables looked delicious. We'll try it another day. We definitely recommend the restaurant. Parking spaces are available.

A very nice restaurant and hotel.I only ate there but the food was really very good, it's a little more expensive than average but also tastier than average.I can only say good things about this place, the service was very friendly and accommodating.

Portions far too small for this price. Mini burgers 18.90 euros!!! Side salad beautifully presented in a glass.We wouldn't come again because of the senior portion. The taste was good.Yes, you can laugh at that. The burger from Café Schwarze is the children's burger from the children's menu. Still questions? 😂 I would think about how an adult is supposed to get enough of it in your home.

The hotel is beautifully located just outside Edertal on a hill. The treetop path and the game reserve are within walking distance of the hotel.The quality of the restaurant is very good.The breakfast buffet also leaves nothing to be desired (fresh rolls, bread, sausage, cheese, muesli, fruit, sweet spreads, juices, eggs and bacon)

We (family with 2 children 9+12) spent 11 days on vacation at the hotel at the beginning of August and are overall very satisfied. The location is ideal as a starting point for activities, some of which can also be easily reached on foot. The family rooms are spacious and clean with everything you need. We booked half board and everything was always delicious. If there wasn't anything for the kids, we always found a good solution... I can't understand some of the negative reviews regarding the friendliness, we only have nice and friendly staff in this regard perceived. We'll definitely come back again, we haven't "finished" all the activities yet...

We traveled with our two boys, 3 years and 7 years, from July 24th to 30th, 2024 in this very family-friendly hotel. Rustic, spacious room. Friendly, attentive staff and very tasty, beautifully prepared food. Good central location for many destinations worth seeing. We have We felt very comfortable.
