The breakfast was ok, the coffee was actually really good. The staff rarely spoke German or English (which we unfortunately have to live with these days) and were sometimes unfriendly. The rooms are a disaster. The furnishings look worn out and like they were put together at a flea market. Unfortunately it wasn't clean either, the bedding was stained and the shower and toilet didn't seem particularly well cleaned. The staff shows no consideration for sleeping guests. Due to the extremely noisiness of the rooms, you had the feeling in the morning that the staff were working right in the room and talking loudly. Unfortunately not recommended for this price.

Our visit to the hotel restaurant today was a bit of a disappointment. The first impression of the rooms was pleasant - beautifully designed and with few guests, so we were looking forward to a quiet evening. But after a short time the service left something to be desired. We had to wait a while for the menus to be brought to us, even though only a few tables were occupied. This suggests poor organization. The selection on the menu seemed good at first. But what good is a good selection if you don't get what you order and the quality of the dishes is so poor?Appetizer:We ordered a pumpkin soup, appropriate for the season. However, what we were then served was a complete impudence. A thin, salty broth that neither tasted like pumpkin nor was presented in any appealing way. No topping, no side dish like bread - just a watery, almost stretched taste. We sent the soup back because it was simply inedible. As a replacement, we opted for two side salads. But here too we were bitterly disappointed. The portions were tiny, the dressing was watery and tasted like cheap Maggi. The salad was also sandy and obviously not washed properly. This is not only unhygienic, but unacceptable for a restaurant. Of course, we made the waitress aware of this, but there was no noticeable reaction.Main course:After having to wait over 30 minutes for our main course, we were disappointed again. I ordered pasta with tomato cream sauce and burrata. What I was served was lukewarm to cold. When I asked the waitress about it, she just said that the food had been ready for a long time, but that they had to wait for my partner's pancakes. How can you serve food that is almost cold because you are waiting for another dish? A completely unprofessional approach! My friend's food was also below average. My food went back. The new one arrived, the arugula was missing from my plate, and the burrata was no longer burrata - just a skin without filling. The plate had obviously been warmed up in the microwave, as evidenced by the fact that the waitress served it with a paper napkin on the edge. That's a disgrace for every kitchen. After complaining again I was finally told that there was no more burrata available as this was the last piece. Why this wasn't said right away when I first complained is a mystery to me. Instead of serving me this embarrassing plate a second time, I could have been informed to choose something else.Substitute dish:Ultimately I decided on tagliatelle with pumpkin. Hardly any pumpkin on the plate, and the “Parmesan” turned out to be something that looked more like grated mozzarella. When I asked if there was real parmesan, I was only given a bowl of the same cheese that was already on my plate. Apparently the staff have no clue about the products they serve. After the theater the waitress asked if we would like something to drink – “on the house” to appease us. But at this point we just wanted to leave as quickly as possible.Service:The service, inattentive and haphazard. Something went wrong at the next table and we kept seeing how the staff were visibly overwhelmed. We also sat directly at the service table, a bit noisy and a lot of movement.Invoice:Instead of the canceled soup, we were charged for it on the bill, which was more expensive than the side salads. The waitress only corrected the amount on our instructions and it wasn't even in writing. Conclusion never again, we are disappointed, we came to the restaurant because we had previously been to the partner restaurant and were super satisfied here. Unfortunately, I had severe stomach pain and diarrhea after visiting the restaurant

Very friendly and helpful staff, but the room (penthouse apartment) makes me wonder where the hotel got its stars from.

So, arriving and checking into the room was friendly and cooperative. The location of the hotel is great. Only a few minutes by car to Mannheim, tram almost directly at the hotel and a large shopping center on the outskirts. The “room” booked was a family room with 2 separate rooms and 2 large beds.We left the first room immediately. So small and 2nd bed was a single bed. Then we got the “royal suite”. A converted apartment. Huge corridor totally loveless. A small box in the hallway and a huge refrigerator without a lid. This apartment had a total of 5 bedrooms. One room was completely empty. The others except one were completely carelessly furnished. The sanitary facilities were a disaster. Cereal paper from the previous person on the cupboard, slats broken off the curtain, no toilet rolls, mirror broken, bed linen dirty, fittings black. The breakfast was the crowning glory. Cheese was already rolled and dry, meat salad was gray, sausage dried out. There were only beer garden chairs on the balcony and water was dripping from the ceiling. But the highlight is: a plumber simply came into our room while we were away without us knowing anything and left the front door wide open. After we talked about it, all we said was: OK, how to take it out and OK.We don't know where the 4 stars come from.

Had an invitation to dinner at this hotel. Nice welcome and very friendly conditions. The food was excellent and prepared with love and the steak was fried to perfection. We can highly recommend this restaurant.Tip: Make a table reservationIn May 2024 we wanted to book an overnight stay in this house for 2 people for a New Year's Eve celebration in 2024/2025. We were denied this request on the grounds that "hotel accommodation" over New Year's Eve would only be accepted for stays of 2 nights or more.A pity!!!
