6 girls on the Rheinsteig arrived in Oestrich Winkel on July 20, 2024, pretty exhausted, and found out that the Hotel Schwan, which had already been booked last year, was closed for renovation. We were not informed by booking com or the hotel. What was even worse was that the emergency telephone number was unable to help us. We were incredibly disappointed and I give the worst review.

Despite booking early 10/23 and booking confirmation from the hotel, we were unable to occupy a room 7/24 due to current renovations!without us ever receiving any information from the hotel until the day of arrival. So you can't recommend it because it's unreliable, and you can't rate the room because you haven't seen it.

Stayed in the guest house. Large rooms and well equipped. Despite being on the main road, you didn't hear anything in the rooms. Breakfast in the main building was very good and plentiful. We'd love to come back. View of the Rhine.

We spent one night in the romantic Hotel Schwan. We reserved a total of three rooms and all rooms had renovated bathrooms with a separate toilet. Our midday check-in was quick. The night was short for us (after a wedding celebration) but relaxing.The breakfast leaves nothing to be desired and the breakfast area extends across several rooms. We had a nice round table for our family.We can only recommend the Hotel Schwan and will stay there again after a celebration in the Rheingau. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right here.

Beautiful propertyI did not have breakfast though the breakfast hall looked amazingEverything was well set with an electronic code entryI only stayed for around 12 hrs from check in to check out wish I had more time to spend.Will very highly recommend their unrenovated room....Best value for money in Germany...

Historic building with additional rooms in an annex. My room was on the second floor. Very large with 5 windows around the corner. The bathroom was newly renovated with a very large walk-in shower.At lunchtime a small but very nice buffet was set up for us (11 people). Delicious. The breakfast buffet was very extensive and lovingly set up. There was virtually nothing left to be desired. Service is very attentive and friendly. Would come there again.

A very nice hotel, lovingly built into an ancient house (the creaky old stairs have charm, the wonderful carved bar will hopefully be revived after the upcoming renovation). Overall very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and pleasant, the breakfast is very good.The location on the Rhine is perfect for excursions, the nearby main road is a - small - downer.Conclusion: great house in a beautiful village - I will come back privately.

Large, bright, clean rooms with bathroom and extra toilet. We were lucky enough to be able to have breakfast on the cozy terrace. The breakfast was varied, plentiful and tasty.

We (an older couple) took a four-day break in Östrich-Winkel to explore the Rheingau. We were very satisfied with the spacious room 215. There are sufficient parking spaces available free of charge. The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired. Ideal location for visiting the Eberbach Monastery and the historic town of Eltville. A visit to the 🍷 Vollrads winery is also recommended. The centuries-old headquarters of the Counts of Greiffenclau was taken over by the Nassauische Sparkasse in 1997.The historic towns of Assmannshausen and Rüdesheim (Niederwald Monument) are also in the immediate vicinity.Married Walter Brok

Everything was okay, friendly service, etc. However, breakfast was a “challenge”, not to put it too negatively. It was extremely crowded, so people were constantly running into each other's feet and you had to queue for ages. But things got really stupid when we were looking for a free table. Although there were some free tables, they were reserved! I've never experienced anything like this anywhere. When asked, it was said that these tables were reserved for "external breakfast guests". Due to the bad experiences with breakfast, I can give a maximum of 3 stars.

Price performance is great, we arrived late and got the key via code. In the dark my first impression was, well, old country hotel, whatever, I only have to spend one night here... the rooms are newly renovated and the bathroom is very cleverly designed (toilet and shower in separate rooms).But the best thing was the breakfast. I live a vegan lifestyle, travel a lot and have searched in vain for something edible in the most exclusive hotels. There's everything here! Lots of different spreads, fruits, soy milk even soy pudding... totally awesome!I'm living it ;)THANKS to the purchasing team.
