Not child-friendly, owner not willing to compromise. Worst breakfast buffet I've ever experienced in a hotel! There is no WiFi. The rooms are okay at first glance, but defective furniture, non-working fans in the bathroom, and windows that you have to be afraid to open should not be there in a 3 star hotel. If I could, I would give 0 stars.

We booked a large family room with two bathrooms through Jochen Schweizer and were very disappointed. The ventilation in bathroom one didn't work, and in bathroom two the window almost fell out of our hands when we opened it. The window in the bedroom also couldn't be closed properly, which was very uncomfortable. The furniture was in terrible condition: the two beds were so wobbly that they almost fell apart, and the wardrobe was broken. Breakfast was also a disappointment - dry rolls, a rotten fruit basket and dried salmon are simply not acceptable. The hostess was not willing to compromise. The announced three-course menu was only served on the second evening; this was not possible on the first evening. We also had to pay €5 to park in a gravel spot on the road, in a remote village that makes you wonder why you are even there.Another big drawback: There was no WiFi and no mobile data. Overall, our stay was very unsatisfactory and unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel.

A nice hotel with great rooms. The restaurant has very tasty food without a fixed menu, which is changed every day. The only thing that everyone likes differently is that the mattresses were a bit too soft for me. But I would come back immediately.

We arrived at the guesthouse on September 13th, the so-called owner was very unfriendly, totally dubious, the food that same evening was very good and very overpriced. In the city you would have paid half as much for it.Out of the ordinary, we asked for a coffee which was promptly charged €3 per person - it was warm water and had nothing to do with coffee. There was also cold coffee for breakfast. The rooms were not cleaned during our stay. When we asked, the towels were changed for usThe culmination of the whole storyThe so-called candle light dinner, which was charged at €30 per person, was an absolute disgrace with mashed potatoes in cream soup and three pieces of meat and the whole thing was cold after we complainedYou would have to believe that you would come to the table and apologize but nothing happened and dessert was servedI would like to mention the blonde service person did her job very seriously. The owner, Ms. Cordes, has absolutely no handling of customers, it looks like she is only looking for money. Because we were even charged €5 per day for parking on a gravel lot that is not part of the hotel. This hotel is not recommended. Beware of hidden costs

The reception was excellent. There were no longer any brochures in German. Payment had to be made directly upon check-in. The room could use a new coat of paint. The armchairs, curtains and even the table lamp were badly dirty. The overall accommodation was in poor overall condition. An outside staircase had several broken stones and we fell over several times. The old carpets lying on top don't help much. An old cooling unit stood in front of the entrance in the courtyard for several days, apparently as a new decoration.Breakfast was okay. There were the cheapest baked rolls, packaged cream cheese was already 2 months expired. Breakfast was available from 8:00 a.m. but not everything was available from 8:00 a.m. Dinner was pretty much the best, except for the very long wait. Unfortunately, it didn't take less than 1.5 hours for the 3-course menu and 3 occupied tables for 2. The portions are very lean and aimed more at seniors. If you order a la carte, the portions are twice as large as the ones we received. We booked through Kurzurlaub.de. We have often booked our holidays through the portal and have never been treated so separately. In addition, we did not receive any of the themed rooms advertised on the Internet. Each of the advertised rooms had a bathtub. We had nothing like that. We found the lady at reception to be very distant, reserved and cold.We would not recommend it to friends or family. First and last visit. Too bad!

We had booked an adventure package (wisent visit) through Jochen Schweizer. The content was 2 overnight stays, breakfast, 1x 3-course menu and entry to the Wisent Park including a packed lunch. When we arrived at the reception there was such a smell of cold cigarette smoke that it felt more like a bar than a hotel. It started with the fact that we had a different booking confirmation than Ms. Cordes (operator). It was too much for her, you could tell straight away. Not solution-oriented at all. But well, we didn't want to cause any stress at the beginning and wanted to clarify this with Jochen Schweizer himself. When my husband asked you how the weekend was going, he got the answer: "That's up to you, the parking booklets are behind you." That was the end of the matter. My husband called the hotel days in advance to make sure that the hotel knew that we were traveling with a child (4 years old). When we got there around 4 p.m. we were told that our room, which was intended for us, could not be used because there were three of us (even though we had announced it beforehand). We were then given a room directly in front of the beer garden which was designed for one person. A towel, a pillow, a duvet and 1 small bottle of water with a glass. The door had to be locked because otherwise it kept opening.Only when we asked did we get towels and bedding for all three of us. Instead of being freshly washed, the things smelled old and fashionable, like they hadn't been taken out of the closet in years. The floor hasn't been cleaned in recent years and there were animal corpses plastered all over the wall and lying on the floor. Dust mice and cobwebs on every corner. Disgusting! The WiFi didn't work at all. We even had to drive to the nearest town.We ate out that day.The next day we went for breakfast, the rolls had been baked several times and were so tough and hard and there was no sign of cleanliness there either. My husband asked for the bill; we wanted to go home after the bison visit and leave early.Mrs. Cordes didn't wait long and brought the bill to the breakfast table. (Very professional)What surprised me was that you weren't at all interested in why we stopped early. It was clear to us that we had to pay for our son, but then the bill included, among other things, 2x parking for €5. For a gravel parking lot that is in no way shown to be chargeable. She also didn't mention it with a single syllable. When I asked her to explain when she wanted to tell us, she immediately became loud and insulting. It would be everywhere, on her website and on Jochen Schweizer. We booked a complete package, there was nothing about parking fees and when I told her that her WiFi wasn't working to check she said: "But it was working again, she would have restarted it in the morning." She also said that she would give us the We don't have to explain the bill, we see it differently. When I threatened to call the police, parking twice quickly turned into parking once. She insulted us that we had planned it from the beginning and were already making a fuss on the phone, but that wasn't the case at all. The insults continued, but that would get out of hand here.In the end we paid €50 for services that were not correct but were not explained to us. By the way, our packed lunch was also withheld from us.The woman is unprofessional, in no way capable of criticism and/or solution-oriented.Ms. Cordes sets her prices as she feels like it and should ask herself whether this is the right job.Our conclusion: If you don't mind dirt and don't question anything, you won't have a problem there, but for those who value cleanliness and professional behavior, you should give the hotel a wide berth.
