I'm a solo traveller and overall found this place to be of good value compared to other hotels considering I booked a week before travelling.Staff were very friendly and answered all queries I had about the hotel.Upon arrival room was clean, the mattress was very comfortable however the twin room had very soft pillows - too soft to my liking. However, the double room has more firmer but comfortable pillows (I stayed in two rooms due to messing up the booking on the website). The bathroom also smells a bit funny but it's tolerable in my opinion.One of the rooms I had difficulty unlocking and had to slightly pull the handle towards me and lift it slightly though.The hotel is located right outside the tram station so that's perfect if you're planning to take public transport. However it's also by a busy road so if you don't like the sound of cars passing by, this would be an issue for you - though personally I don't mind.

The hotel is centrally located near Charlottenplatz, easily accessible by metro. Check-in is until 21:00. My room faced the main street, making it noisy with traffic and trams all night. The room had a strong odor, and while an air purifier was provided, it was too loud to use at night. Opening the window for fresh air was also noisy and cold, as a result, I had a restless night, opening and closing the window, and ended up catching a cold.The room and bathroom were basic and need renovation. Breakfast isn't offered.I had a twin room even if I was a solo traveler as it was the only room available.At over €150 for one night, it felt overpriced.On a positive note, the mattress was relatively comfortable, and the reception staff were friendly and welcoming. With a few improvements to the room conditions and amenities, this hotel could offer much better value for its central location.

The best thing about the hotel is definitely the location. Ok for one night, because the rest wasn't really convincing. Rather sparsely furnished. The bathroom is uncomfortable, the water doesn't drain in the sink, the shower curtain isn't tight. Unfortunately it has no functioning ventilation.The beds are fine, but the street noise is very audible. The window cannot be left open at night without being woken up by speeders or the tram. At least you can completely darken the windows.The reception is very friendly, location good. That's why 3 stars anyway.

Room was clean, but nothing special. Elevator was broken, which is a bit stupid for a room on the 4th floor. It was a bit noisy, which is a disadvantage of the busy area. But it's easy to reach by public transport and has lots of small restaurants in the immediate vicinity.

The two of us were in Stuttgart for a job interview and needed a cheap hotel room for one night. We received a very friendly welcome and were positively surprised by the room. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Can recommend it with a clear conscience!! Parking spaces are a bit difficult to find, which is typical for the city ;) There is a parking garage about a 5-minute walk away

We had booked the rooms for the Wasen. The hotel is in a good location. They accepted the spontaneous cancellation of a double room without any problems, which was very friendly. Gladly again

That was a mixed experience.There are definitely positive things to report: the room was clean, the location is very good, the staff is friendly and accommodating. The rooms do face a main street and the tram is quite loud. But the windows are pretty soundproof. I was able to sleep well.The bathroom is entirely made of plastic, with the exception of the plumbing. Kind of like being in a ship's cabin. It's not pretty, but you can understand it, it's very practical from the operator's point of view because it's very easy to clean. Unfortunately, what was very negative for me was that the bathroom smelled very unpleasant, even though it was noticeable, cleaned and clean. The smell comes from the old toilet. It also had to be ventilated and couldn't be removed. That was the biggest drawback for me.The hallway wasn't that nice either. The door to my room was slightly damaged in the lock area. So it probably had to be opened without a key.Okay, but of course the question is also what the price-performance ratio is. Because with all these defects, it could still be a very good offer at a certain price. On my last visit to Stuttgart I stayed at Motel One for €109 a night. At Espenlaub I paid €80 for the night. And I think the difference was really big considering that it was only €29 cheaper. Too big, in my opinion.
