I have to say the price for one night of €72 would have been okay if the mattress wasn't already very old and you didn't have any back pain after one night.The breakfast was okay but nothing more. I wouldn't want to stay in the room a second night.

The price is expensive for the room they offer.It was small, the television media library did not work, although the bed was comfortable.The small shower.The dinner service, which was what we paid separately, was good and the waitresses were friendly.Breakfast was included but the buffet is not very complete.

Overnight stay with our two dogs (no extra charge and less than 200m to the vineyards). We got the largest room available with a balcony and had a lot of space.Everything was super clean and top service. Very tasty, regional and seasonal dinner (a la carte) andrich breakfast.The only really small drawback is the thoroughfare. Although it is a 20 km/h zone, it is quite loud due to the cobblestones.We'd love to come back

An outdated hotel. We each had a single room. We got rooms on the second floor, directly under the roof. It was a bit strange that the shower and sink are right in the room. The bed also seemed older. Since the temperatures outside were 28 degrees, the temperature in the room was similar to that outside. 29 degrees! Despite the open window and fan at night, it was not possible to cool down below 28 degrees. The night was correspondingly bad. And if you follow the homepage and read that you sleep "heavenly" in the hotel, I don't know how you can do that under these circumstances. It was simply unbearable! When asked in the morning, I was only answered with "oh no"This problem is not new. I read the reviews of the hotel too late. It's a mystery to me how positive reviews even came about.The breakfast buffet is no more than average with the baked rolls. The food in the restaurant was also more average.In my opinion, the price of the room is not appropriate. The free parking space directly at the house is positive.

Great location in the middle of the small town. Good food and good drinks. What I particularly liked was the extremely good atmosphere in the kitchen (we had the space outside the kitchen). Therefore definitely recommended. 👍🏿

It's extremely rare for me... but I actually had to leave dinner.Spaghetti with chanterelles is simply subterranean - even though the neighboring Engelstüble (= Italian food) is part of it!Spaghetti not al dente, canned mushrooms (in the middle of the season) and the sauce tastelessService was ok, but not particularly motivated... even though only a few tables were occupied

We spent one night in this hotel. The parking lot is too narrow, the room smelled like a deep fryer, and it wasn't possible to ventilate because the kitchen was underneath our room. Overall, the house is getting old and since it is very noisy, we were woken up several times during the night. In the morning there was an older couple in service who hardly spoke any German.Old-fashioned furnishings.We wouldn't book here again for this price.We think 107 € is a bit too expensive.

The surcharge for changing the supplement is listed on the menu, but for me it goes to the core of customer friendliness. Does every small change request - fries instead of spaetzle - really have to cost extra?The service is really unacceptable even for a simple inn of this type. In my opinion, the simple, careless room furnishings absolutely do not justify a price of €117 with breakfast.We won't be coming back to the Gasthaus Engel!

We were on our way home from Provence with a tour group. We had an overnight stay at the Hotel Engel. The lovingly run family hotel makes a cozy impression. The rooms were lovingly furnished, clean and functional. The food we were treated to was excellent and delicious. However, the restaurant is a bit cramped for a large group. The background noise in the small room was very unpleasant. The friendly and courteous service gave us a lovely evening. The breakfast on the morning of the onward journey was excellent and better than in many other hotels.

Basically everything is ok, but the hotel seems to be getting old. The dining room is full of pewter mugs and knick-knacks in front of green-colored window panes. Investments were made in the rooms, but unfortunately we didn't find them particularly comfortable. The breakfast is completely okay for 7€ - while I think 120€ for the room is excessive, that was probably because of the Whitsun holidays. Unfortunately there aren't enough hotel parking spaces, but there was always space on the street.The location in the middle of the historic old town of Endingen is great, and the friendliness of the owners and employees was also impressive. Overall, everything seemed more like a long-established inn than a hotel, which I would expect to be a little more in tune with the times.
