We chose this option on our arrival to Bali as it was very close to Monkey Forest which we visited the next morning. We could leave our luggage before checking in and after checking out. Most of the staff were friendly. The area and hotel were quiet. The room was a good size with plenty of space and a small fridge. The AC was on when we arrived so the room was at a good temperature. The breakfast is very basic, just a few choices and not balinese breakfast choice. The juice isn't fresh. They don't have the option to serve it in the room and the canteen has 4 tables. On our last day, we didn't manage to get a table to have breakfast although it was very early in the morning. The room was pretty clean and spacious, according to the description on the website, but it needed maintenance (the paint coming off, water leaking from the bathroom fan, tap of the sink loose...) and bedsheets had some stains.Be aware that cars cannot come until the entrance but from main street, it's 1 min walking distance.

Ok, where do I begin?Firstly the location can only be accessed through what I believe is an around-10-feet wide cobblestone road. You'll be fine if you're only backpacking, but if you're a group of adults travelling with kids below 4, you're in for a rough ride (there were 6 adults, 1 2yr old, 1 4yr old). We had to drag our 30kg bags over the cobblestones after getting off the taxi. Adding to the misery, some wheels of our baggage decided they wanted to stay in Bali and not come back with us. This was merely the tip of the iceberg. Once we finally reached the "villa", we were greeted with a one man army. He had to check us in, carry our bags, and usher us to the rooms. This is not a villa. It's just a hotel with rooms. There is no lift either. The rooms looked ok, but the bathrooms were not very clean. The toilet which had not been properly cleaned looked yellowish. The bathroom lighting was inadequate, and with the shower curtain closed, the area looked rather dim. There was only a fixed shower. The absence of a handheld shower made giving baths to our toddler a nightmare. The corners had dust and gecko poop, probably of the gecko we shared the room with. The safe could only be operated with a key, as I could not get its keypad working. The battery receptacle would fall off every time I opened the safe. The room did have a mini fridge and working wifi. The bed was somewhat comfortable, but the pillows were too high for our liking. All plug sockets were of type-F. I cannot thank enough my cheap travel adaptor off eBay which became very popular (we all had UK/AU type sockets on our electronic devices). We booked B&B. The morning menu was monotonous. There was very little to choose from (see Menu image here). The pool had some brownish residue on some tiles, so I did not want to try my luck getting in it. Not too sure if it was the colour of the tiles or a result of bad cleaning. we booked for 4 nights at a premium rate, in comparison to Ramada Encore which was miles ahead of this in every possible way at half the price. They could not care less when we checked out for some other hotel just after second night. No one batted an eye and asked us the reasons to early departure. No one came to our rooms to carry our bags down the flight of stairs when we announced the early checkout the day before.

Very well located and very cute hotel. It is in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Ubud but when you enter it seems like a haven of peace. The room we had had a small kitchen and terrace. Maybe there would be something to improve in the room but, in general, very good. The pool is very nice and the breakfast is very good.

The location was perfect. Away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud, but within easy walking distance of nice restaurants, spa and shops. The setting is beautiful with well maintained gardens and a refreshing pool. A relaxing start to the day with a perfectly adequate breakfast served poolside.

Location is fantastic - yes it’s down a narrow street but a car can make it down with care ( just!). It’s an easy walk even with large cases to the end of the narrow road too. …

I booked the room with kitchen in 2-3 months advance , Still when we reached the guy allocated us the other room without kitchen. When I specifically asked for my booking then he said the room is not available, how can they allocate the already booked room to others and making trouble for others? After that , the guy was asking us to stay in the same room which was available not the one which we booked , he asked us are you going to cook ? I mean , seriously, I have booked the room give the same one, its up to us whether i m cooking or not.Next day allocated the room with kitchen on up stairs , even i told them , my mother is a senior citizen if possible give us the room downstairs, same reply - rooms are not available. They dont care about the customer, just making money thats also with greediness.I even spoken with the owners son who manages there , he also responded the same and was trying to make me feel wrong about asking the room which i had booked already. So overall experience is not good. I am writing the comment sitting in their hotel room 203 itself.

The location was perfect for you to stay calm and cozy. There is no noise from the main street, which is 5 star for me. (Location is a bit far from the main street- market side)The swimming pool was nice and tidy.Breakfast was okay. Laundry is available, and beer and water are also available with not much extra rp compared to Coco Mart. The only thing I didn't like was curtain on the glass door, which didn't cover all of the glass, so I felt not really private myself.Price-wise, this place is an absolute gem. If you want to stay in a calm and comfortable place, this place is recommended 👌

A family run resort set back from the busy streets of Ubud traffic. The garden oasis, that surrounds the pool and provides backdrop to room verandah, is just beautiful. The location was great for us as we enjoyed having a walk each day. Out of the alley and right is the Monkey Forest and Art Museum. If you head left there is market place and Ubud Palace. There is a small restaurant next to villa entrance (closed on Sunday) which is cheap and delicious and so convenient. The spa across the alley was also good. Had a facial and then Balianse message another day. The variety in food and shops is endless. We loved our week at Betutu Villas.

Perfect location, it is close to the center but you get away from the hustle and bustle and rest very well, a beautiful interior garden, good pool, correct staff, good breakfast, some cleaning details but everything correct
